Clearing a "Jam on Fumble"?
« on: 14 October 2023, 15:24:59 »
"Jam on Fumble" is a characteristic of a number of weapons (AToW, pages 265, 266, and 268, and in other sources too) and is mentioned in relation to Suppressing Fire on page 175.  What's not mentioned is what it takes to clear the stoppage. GrandDM mentioned that "Misfire" (the thing that inflicts damage on the user) takes a Simple Action to clear (referring to AToW page 214, though it's not clear that applies to Small Arms).

Does a Small Arm (or Support Weapon) that "Jams on Fumble" require an action to clear (Free, Simple, or Complex), or is it assumed to be cleared by the action that resulted in the jam (i.e., the jam simply results in no shot for that Simple Action)?

Awesome!  Thanks for the quick response, Paul! :)

(I'd give you a "thumbs up", but the old emojis aren't back yet.)
