Custom mechs and vehicles. Can you assign AS values to them?

Is it possible to calculate AS values for custom units? Can you print a custom card?

MegaMek can do it in their Lab system, in the 0.49.12 update and above

Mordel.net can also do it.

You can also do it by hand if you have an Alpha Strike Companion book and all the errata.

You have to convert from a classic mech, you can’t build just straight AS stats.

There is an app on Android named Mech Factory that has editors for custom Mechs, Vehicles etc. I can confirm that the Mech editor creates an Alpha Strike card when you create a custom Mech. I haven't used the other editors.

I dont suggest the use of Mech Factory for points calculation, as it have different formulas.
For example, the app give to units with one ac5 (like the Wolverine 6R) the Special AC-/1/1; but ducha type of Unit doesnt have that Special in the MUL stats.

Out of curiosity; has there been any word on putting these rules back in print? I was a bit crestfallen when it wasn’t included in the Commanders Edition.

Last we heard, which was a few months ago (?), it was still be figured out.
