I don't know if anyone saw, but IWM announced on their Twitter the releases for GenCon:

Phoenix Hawk 1/3K
Regent A
Savage Wolf Prime/A

I got the release schedule update on IWM web site and also added them to the new release category on the store. They will be available after GenCon for retailers and on IWM web store September 5th.

Only if the license plate flips open.
Didn't think I would see a Used Cars reference on here.

I'm guessing that we're a ways out from seeing a metal version of the new Kraken, but I hope that when we do we'll finally get a Kraken 3 that doesn't need to be kitbashed.

I want to build a star consisting of a Kraken 3, Mastodon D, Night Gyr D, Viking IIC, and Tomahawk II C.

Here is hoping! There have to be a few designs ready to see a release into the wild. I'm really hoping for the Maurader II.

Wonder if it might get alternate arms- PPC vs LL vs GR

And the Crucible we saw at GenCon!!

Ugh, meant Inferno and was looking at something else before I typed.  Yeah the Crucible mini is nice, not sure what else I am using the 2 arms for either.

Any chance of a new Mad Cat III sculpt? I'd love to have one from each generation in my collection.

From memory, probably scale.  It is a bit small.

It's very thin and tall and oddly squished horizontally.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

Nothing huge. It really it just boils down to personal aesthetics. The legs just look a little to spindly to me.

there was a potential fan funding a few years ago but the consensus was the old was good enough and not going to meet the threshold

EDIT: I just reread the thread and its more that it went on hold for some reason or another, rather than anything to do with the old model, although it was brought up by one person

That was about the time that IWM put all fan-funding on hold, wasn't it?

im not sure. The same day speck posted about it being on hold, he posted the 3150 vees suggestions thread in fan funding also.
but there has been no movement on either in over a year and a half so it seems its all on hold

Anyone got a size comparison on the Mad Cat Mk II standard, and the Mad Cat Mk II 5? I'm looking at picking up the latter, but will it play nicely with the nuplastic assaults?

They're both very close in size to the nuplastic Daishi.  The cockpits are about level with each other- the Mad Cat Mk IIs end up taller thanks to the missile pods.

You're lucky that I happened to have a Mad Cat Mk II 5 sitting out on my table: made comparisons quick and easy.
