This works surprisingly well. Full armor and you could even replicate the firepower of a Stinger 3G, although the recon gear makes better use of the special qualities of a LAM. Nicely done, I would us that.

And it lives up to the one day life expectancy of a real mayfly

Remote sensor dispenser should be 0.5 tons, yes?

Oops, yes... looks like I typed the 0.5 onto the wrong row... off to fix!  Thanks! :)

Yeah, when I see any really light mech all I hear is every rifleman and jagermech pilot calling Pull! As it launches into to air

The good news is AirMechs don't have to make lawn dart rolls... ;)

While I am disappointed not to see a blazer on one of your designs, I want you to know I am absolutely stealing this for my upcoming RPG campaign. It promises to be hugely useful and also to start fights over who is going to get stuck flying the thing.
But as a matter of fact I was quite busy getting potty-trained at the time and had no time for interstellar politics.- ykonoclast

Well done! I like that it's more recon focused but still can fight if it has too.

So I finally got this game off the ground (forgive the pun) and it turns out the Mayfly is cursed.

In three battles we have had to replace two mechwarriors due to headshots and the third is in hospital after failing a piloting roll and pitching into a building.

In the headshot instances the required to-hit rolls were 10+ and both resulted in crits that hit the cockpit. The piloting roll needed a 3+ to succeed and got snake eyes.

In the non-combat missions it has been an amazing asset, but there is some serious talk about selling the thing off in favor of a Locust with a similar loadout.

As a game master, I have definitely found the intelligence capabilities of this thing deeply frustrating to work around. I consider that a good thing.

WOW!  Thanks for the feedback, and I totally agree it seems to be cursed, at least for your group!  If they do cash it in for a Locust, I'm sure they'll regret it in short order... :)
