VTOLs and Slingloading
« on: 24 October 2024, 19:50:52 »
I was wondering about using a VTOL to carry external cargo, what the U.S. Army calls "Slingloading".

Is this a possibility using rules found in Total Warfare? Would those rules be the same as those used for ground vehicles and towing, or would you require a lift hoist on the VTOL in order to lift external cargo?

As an example a Warrior H-7 used to lift a tracked APC as external cargo.

VTOLs use the exact same rules as ground vees for external cargo. Lift hoists are not required to lift, but they do help.
