Next printing of Battlemech Manual
« on: 17 March 2025, 08:04:03 »
Hello everyone, getting deeper in now that I've played a few games from the AGoAC box, so I'm looking for a battlemech manual.  Everywhere looks to be sold out.  Is there any indication (or general timeline maybe) of when the next batch will be printed?

Thanks!

It's going to be sent for reprint relatively soon, but that still means months before any new printing hits shelves.

It's been a massive headache trying to complete my book collection.

I've been waiting 3/4 year for BattleMech Manual and Tech Manual to re-appear on the EU market, but all Amazon has listed for EU sale is an old printing of BMM. Been subscribed to most (if not all) European suppliers and it's just.... de nada. Nothing. I asked around and a Line developer basically told me why that is:

BattleMech Manual was one of the books they just mentioned at Adepticon as arriving at the warehouse and should be going out to distribution soon.

Note that this is likely just a lack of new information on Amazon's part.  They create a listing for a product, and that's it: they don't check all the time to see if the packaging/cover art changes every so often or what have you.  For years the US page was the first printing, and only recently have they updated the image ... to the 2nd/3rd printing image, which itself has been out of date since 2022.

Online retailers which sell new product generally don't keep old stock lying around: they're selling whatever the current printing is, but not necessarily updating their sell pages to match.

That may be standard MO for resellers, but they did for Campaign Operations. It's my belief that Amazon (EU) has BattleTech flagged as a brand where they do update the images from time to time, and/or have multiple listings for the same thing sold through more then one reseller. They did update boxed sets with new cover art (AGOAC, Beginner Box). But you are right: you might as well receive a newer copy when you order from Amazon. Keyword: might.
