Hey there,
Reading the new Commanders Edition rules and noticed something odd.
In Total Warfare rules, the height of an obstruction a Mech can jump over is a number of elevations equal to their jump movement. So if you jump X hexes, you can jump over X elevations.
In Alpha Strike, the same Mech can jump 2X inches, which means they can jump over 2X inches height, which corresponds to 2X elevations.
So when playing hex maps, on the same hex map, in Alpha Strike you can jump over twice as high an elevation as in TW.
This derives from the fact that in Alpha Strike 1 hex horizontal is 2", but 1 elevation vertical is 1".

Unlike most changes in movement between AS and TW, which are intended as a simplification, this one is a major change in physics. On some of the canyon maps a jump which would be impossible in Total Warfare due to, well, physics, is quite possible in TW.
Is this intentional? Is it a good idea? It would be a simple erratum.

Thanks,
Vandervecken

yes, errata added. You can jump over terrain half your jump move.
