Title: Sholagar-22
Post by: Goose on 04 January 2024, 22:10:54
Has anyone ever seen the "new wing" these are reported to have?

… And do we know it alleviated the Bad AtmosphericAtmospheric Flight Instability quirk? :smilie_character_fishing:

Where's it say "new wing"? The -22 is from a record sheet product, and the -27X in XTRO:Corps mentions nothing about that, and recycles the original art.

pp.198 of TRO:'39 says "a more stable wing configuration." As often as it's sited, it's named as a problem. :undecided:

Probably means micro vanes like those needed to make the F-117 stay in the air.
There isn't necessary a lot to see after the disc wing is fixed from before.

Ironically wind tests in the 70's hypothesised that discs were superior to regular wings at hypervelocity speeds.  If anything I would be concerned flying a Sholagar or Thrush at low altitude, not interface.
