If you can't tell, its Lyran. Its Lyran to the point Lyran generals whine about it being too light to be effective. That and only the Lyrans (maybe the Davions, maybe) could afford to build this in any kind of numbers, because its price-tag is painfully high, although someone thankfully crushed any/all attempts at giving it an XXL-engine to go faster. Painful to buy is one thing. Sacrificing a planet or two to the gods upon the economic altar? Even the Archon said no. The generals whined anyways.
The loadout to the sides is based on something like an APC I saw IRL that had multiple armored ball-sockets in the back that infantry could stick their ARs through, and provide additional coverage, while being completely concealed inside the APC. In this case, I hardwired the guns directly in, permanently. Mguns to deal with un-armored infantry, MagShots to start chipping away at Battle Armor. This could be swapped in a variant where its all Mguns, or all MagShots, LMGs, or HvyMGs, or any mix you want of them. Another possibility is going down to 4 of the same anti-infantry weapons/2 per side, and dropping in an AMS/1 per side w/ 1t of ammo for each. The turret is based on a proposed, but never-built, over-under Bushmaster mount for the Stryker, except I swapped those for MPLs, and since IRL missiles are near impossible to shoot down, I re-did the missiles for this into 'Mech Mortars. In open field combat, this thing is basically a very large, near helpless target. But then again, its not meant for open field combat. Its meant to get into urban/suburban built-up areas, where range isn't nearly as much of an issue, but getting surprised up close, usually by Battle Armor nowadays, and die from point-blank fire. Well, its meant to keep that from happening.

Really needs more AMS and B-pods if you're hunting BA, especially if you're doing it in restricted terrain!
-
Shhhhh..... :D
Lyrans.
-
Not enough Long Tom cannons for a Lyran anti-BA vehicle... ;)
-
What.. there isn't a XXL model.. We have planets for buying those... Keeps them out of the hands of riff raff
-
Kanazuchi will still give this problems, it needs an ultra AC 20, at least, to deal with those. ;D

You twiged that the mech mortar is a very nice anti infantry , anti battle armor and anti proto mech weapon . I have an O- O-Bakemono with 2 Mech Mortar 8s for this purpose . I load up with semi guided and air burst ammo . 2 airburst rounds does 4d6 infantry damage each . A squad of Battle Armor sustains an average of 5 2 point hits each with the semi guided . You would also have problems taking down the Nova Cat variant of the Void . I am also looking into small craft ment to target infantry and Battle Armor which I like to call puff the magic dragon . Making an anti battle armor combat vehicle is playing to the target's strengths . Make a mech or small craft .
