Nova CEWS ECM range?

So the rules for the NOVA say that it operates as a combintion of ECM, active robe, and C3i equipment, and normally ECM has a 6 hex range, but in the stats block, it has a range stat of 3.

Does this mean that it's a shorter range ECM than the standard ECM?

AFAIK, yes. part of the trade off from fitting ecm, active probe, abd C3 abilities into a single package that small.
