AFFS v. DCMS
Mid-Jihad (3074)
Units from 3050Uu, 3055Uu and 3085 ONN (sue me, we'll call 'em prototypes...)

There will be C3 and ECM.

This game will be heavily objective based.
More details to follow after Origins.

Sounds fun!
I will try to be there, but I will have family in town that weekend, so I am not certain I can make it.

But, I relish the chance to drive some cool AFFS mechs and kill the Drac scum.  O0

Dammit.  It looks like I'm going to be unavailable due to a family event.

As a side note,  that Schmuck Grey Wolf Actual now has a copy of Leviathans according to a post on Facebook.  Expect that we will start having games of that.

On the topic of this one,  I'm out for this one because I'm committed to a 2 day 5 game WFB tournament again....

I hope there is an MRM launcher in this game with Apollo V on it.  And I hope someone does well with it, because that would vindicate something like, what, 12 years of sucky weapon?

Name me a mech that has that before 3085 or so. Preferably soon so I can check it and maybe by a mini if I need it.

Improved C3 massive waste of tonnage in this game. The raven is a bit of a stretch...

Hey you said name them.  You did not say they had to be good or faction based. :)  And so it has useless tonnage.

3 tons is a bit much. And the Angel makes things...difficult for some of my ideas. If they had a design that pretty much just took off a medium laser (Or C3 slave, It's not like they're is a shortage of those  8) ) I'd be all aboot it.

Well, you are the master of this game, you could finagle whatever you'd like about that Akuma.  Or you could just fluff the Raven on the AFFS side as being an old chassis salvaged from the Capellans (or on the DCMS side as "borrowed" from the Second Star League Defense force) that had been restored.

For the Combine, you can just make it a straight purchase.  TRO: 3050U states on page 30 "The CCAF has attempted to retain exclusive control over the Raven, but a variety of factors have seen the design spread to other powers.  First and foremost was the Confederation’s need for foreign currency that saw a number of units exported to both the Free Worlds and the Combine."  It's entirely possible to have the Capellan Confederation sell the Draconis Combine plans for an upgrade of a mech the Capellans already sold the Combine.  Arms producers do that sort of thing all the time, and it allows the CC to give pain to House Davion without actually shooting at the Federated Suns.  Proxy war for fun and profit!  >:D

Edit: I do need to point out that the Raven X wasn't revealed till 3078, 4 years after the date the game is set in.

Bryceland Engulfed: How the Jihad, Black Dragons and the DMI almost destroyed us all.

By Phillip G. Kens for the Bryceland Daily Chronicle
October 21, 3089

Background:

The Jihad:  A time of rage, fury, death and chaos.  Its battles were many–and fought on many worlds:  from Terra, the cradle of humanity, to the farthest reaches of the known universe.  While most of the battles are well known, a great many more are merely blips in the colloquial history books. While others have been deliberately buried and hidden from view under meters of red tape…and blood.
The Black Dragon Society’s (or, Kokuryu-kai in their native Japanese) attack on the Davion world of Bryceland on June 4, 3075 is common knowledge–indeed the courage and sacrifice of the defenders is still heralded proudly in the Draconis March.  Bryceland was world which held stockpiles of mothballed ‘mechs and other military equipment as well as a fairly large ‘mech repair and refit yard.   Bryceland also held a massive stockpile of nuclear weapons, weapons that had they fallen into the Black Dragon’s hands could have changed the course of events on the Draconis Combine, and indeed the entire Jihad.
But how did the Black Dragons know what was there? The facilities and storehouses were a well kept secret and only a few within the Draconis March Command even knew of the facilities.  And the raid conducted by the Black Dragons was a well executed operation–they knew exactly where to go.
The answer, it seems, has finally come to light…
After over 2 years of research, hundreds of interviews, dozens of ‘Right to Information” (RiTI) requests and more than a few death threats later, the pieces of the puzzle have started to come together…
And so it begins…:
A year before the Black Dragon attack on Bryceland, some point in mid-3074, the Department of Military Intelligence (DMI) discovered that elements of the Black Dragon Society was up to something on Niles, a jump away in the Draconis Combine,  information that made elements of the command very, very nervous.   Just how nervous? Well, rumor has it was non-other than a special strike team from the mythical “Rabid Foxes” that was sent to investigate.
MI-6 or the “Rabid Foxes” is a unit so shrouded in secrecy that the Davion government still denies their very existence.  Make no mistake, they DO exist and they are just as capable as the more (in)famous elites from around the ‘sphere: Loki, DEST and the Death Commandos.  Indeed, the fact that they are kept such a secret makes them all the more formidable.
Sent to Niles sometime in Late October to investigate whatever was keeping the DMI up at night, the “Foxes” encountered far more then even they were prepared for…
