Dark Age & Trial of Propagation
« on: 19 February 2019, 11:13:10 »
We know after the Jihad the Clans shrunk the size of the toumans over all and particularly the mech forces even as they tried to recover.  They also reduced the Bloodname counts or reaved some Bloodnames completely for various reasons.  But 3132 rolls around and the Inner Sphere once again plunges into war- by 3133 I would expect each of the Clans to start baking up more sibkos as well as increasing their intake of freebirths as a temporary measure.  The Falcons shortly send off their desant where Jaina Pryde tries to rid herself of challengers and troublemakers though in Alek's galaxy they get freebirths and green trueborns along with a few seasons officers that went with him- some being abathka.  The Crusader Wolves meet with the Wardens in '35 or '36 to discuss the Archon's suggestion of a migration to another border and hatch the plan to invade the Republic as misdirection.  The Bears sit in their lair, barely stirring.  The Ravens get involved later in the DC-FS problems.  Foxes are all over the place taking advantage of the chaos to find profits, with small actions spread across the Sphere the only definite large scale actions I recall are in League space- specifically working with the Cats on Marik and naval blockades.  Finally the Horses challenge Malvina about her 'Mongol' plans and even contribute forces to her general offensive.

Before Operation Revival the invading Clans expanded back out the Bloodname count for diminished Bloodhouses to test the then unblooded warriors and let combat decide if the Bloodhouses had improved their product.  Until after the Jihad we did not hear about any reversal of that action (which does raise the question of how much those Invaders actually reduced their counts vs pre-Revival numbersl) . . .

So, would the various Clans have taken steps to increase their bloodname counts as they ramped back up their trueborn numbers- or even freeborn numbers?  By 3151-3153 any expanded sibkos as the Dark Age started will be testing out . . .
