BA movement modifications
« on: 13 January 2019, 16:55:17 »

With the Tortoise II BA we got a BA with a 'modified' movement system. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Tortoise_II
This BA has lately been inspiring me with other possible modifications, my current ideas:

1. Quad BA with tracks (like a miniature QuadVee).
I can imagine that having tracks on the legs of an Quad BA would give it the Design Quirk 'Easy to Pilot'.
As for many people tracks would be easier to grasp then having four legs.

2. BA that use UMUs in combination with Hydrofoils.
The foils will lift the BA body out of the water, reducing drag & allowing for faster movement, but only on the water surface.
Hydrofoil MP = multiply UMU MP by 1.25 (round normally, rounding .5 up).
Balancing this would either require higher BV or allowing the hydrofoils to be affected by weapon damage.

Comments or other ideas?

I can't think of a way to make a WiGE work at that scale...

Maybe allowing the combination of partial wing and VTOL movement?

Maybe... I'll have to think about it in more detail...
