Waco Rangers circa 3008
« on: 06 April 2018, 18:42:20 »
Recently finished a lance of Waco Rangers

All are 3rd edition box set plastics, the Thunderbolt was acquired second hand without the Large Laser or missile launcher so had to fashion new armament, nominally representing the Steiner TDR-5SS with the PPC.  The Shadowhawk mini was left half finished for about twenty years before being drafted into the Waco Rangers after a bit of repainting and finishing off.

All have had the mech designation on the front of the base filled in and painted over.

All are painted up as Waco Rangers circa 3008, with Cpt Wayne Waco's Battlemaster, the Thunderbolt, Shadowhawk and the soon-to-be-squished Lt John Waco's Stinger.

Good job with the 3rd ed plastics. I still curse them. I love the chipping effect.
Oh my brother, with your courage we can conquer,
In your sword I put my trust that you will honor
I will be the higher ground should you concede it
And my body be your shield if you should need it.

Really awesome work.  I keep hoping someone will do the whole lineup from the Mercs handbook ;)

Great work! And as the Rangers had very able tech support, it's entirely suitable to have different versions of the 'Mechs. Waiting for more!
