Thank you indeed!  Our Canadian and UK students have been wearing the poppy since October, and tomorrow they take it off for another year.

To all those who appreciate us, You're welcome.
It's not who you kill, but how they die!

I thank all those who serve, have served, or no longer serve everyday especially on this day. But I also thank those veterans who are no longer among us today; especially my grandfather, who passed away in 2014, and my cousin Kevin who died July of this year from a training accident.

For the Americans, https://youtube.com/watch?v=ui_TyJUgflU enjoy the most beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner ever.

For everyone else, I think this sums it up well.

Quote
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
      In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
      In Flanders fields.
Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen,
Tod und Verzweiflung flammet um mich her!
Fühlt nicht durch dich Jadefalke Todesschmerzen,
So bist du meine Tochter nimmermehr!

Those who have long enjoyed the privilege's that we enjoy, forget in time that men have died to win them." FDR

My heartfelt thanks to all who have served at any time, especially my dad. He was in the Air Force during Vietnam.
