That's how items are selected to be sent to the archives, but I thought the reason for archiving stuff in the first place was to save space for new molds at the main facility. Is that false?

Maybe?  I don't know - speck probably knows.  I would assume that putting something in the archive prevents them from wasting production capital on something that isn't going to sell.  Meaning don't accidentally make a new production run of something that isn't going to get sold to a distributor.

I think this is what happend to the Fox, right before it went in to archives I bought a bunch of them from my local game store and my guess is that the distributor they got them from did not order more, but it looks like if I want more I will either have to try again latter or pay the archive fee.
Most stores will not re-order old minis, its better for them to re-invest that money in newer minis that sell better.

So this poll is expired right? Who are the winners? For next month I'd like to nominate the Winston Combat Vehicle AR20-5012
Why not Zoidberg?

I understand that, whatt is sad is when I bought all they could get right then from there sources and wanted more. I would think that if you had someone wanting more that would be a safe bet to reorder.

Better question is how does one relocate to a larger facility and nothing changes on the archive front.  If lack of space = archive, then should not more space = less archive 0.o

Archive is determined by sales, as been already stated. In the past it was mentioned that Archived Molds where moved into storage to make room in the factory. This is a topic that will be discussed when I am at IWM before Gen Con

I would not universally offload the archives in the new facility, as that needs space for new miniatures to grow and develop.  we don't want another situation of molds on top of the toilet tank after all.

but as has been stated, the Tundra Wolf in this specific instance has gotten on the top 2 every time it has gotten up for special retunr (three times counting this one if I recall correctly)

now how well it sold when in that return, I can't say, but it does seem to be popular enough that fans want an oppourtunity to buy AND it is a mech that exists in the currently supported era of the game.  that is why I favor it being pulled out beyond the special return period.

of course Ironwind has to answer the question "Does this make business sense for us?" and they have data we don't.

Also take ideas for next poll. I want to start it before I leave for Gen Con

Dunno, I tried looking it up and all that I saw was a -8K . . . with all the PP variants there has to be a D.  I also figured someone would point me in the right direction if it exists.  Crossing off my '65 merc company list . . .

I would back the Kanazuchi's vote!

This is already taken care of, after Gen Con it will be changed on the web store to be like the BT battle armor and sold individually.
