Reunion?
« on: 27 January 2011, 19:14:55 »
Hello, MechWarrior family!

It's been a long time, and I know many of us have moved on from the game we loved, myself included. But every now and then I get a bit nostalgic for the old days, and the fact that there's people still hanging out and posting here indicates that I'm not alone.

Around this time last year, we here in the Portland area staged a MechWarrior reunion of sorts... got the old local crew back together at the biggest venue in town, and even convinced Yes Serious (the former Jonas Saunders) and Kelly and Vic Bonilla to come down and join us. It was a good time, though small and over way too fast.

Now I find myself with the itch growing again, and I thought I'd come here and see if any of my fellow MechWarriors had any interest in maybe taking place in another such event? Last year we promised Kelly and Yes and them that next time we'd do it up in Seattle, so that seems like a likely destination this time as well. If there's serious (note I said SERIOUS) interest from outsiders, I would be more than open to scheduling around them.

I'd like to get the band back together. Maybe you feel similarly. Let me know.

I have serious interest, but your timing stinks on ice, Trevor.

If it was like April, I could give you a solid, "Maybe, depending on when".  But February is right out.

I am definitely interested in a Seattle gathering. Would love the chance to meet Yes Serious and Bonillas.

I'd honestly love to come.  But the timing isn't so good for me either.  :  (

I'm pretty sure there is something being planned for Gencon this year.  That might be the best place to go if you want to relive the golden years LOL

I'd love to be able to, but even with out the impending birth of my second child, there is no way I could afford to make the trek.

I miss hanging out with Kelly.

GameStorm is in Vancouver, WA the last weekend of March!
I suggest we host a get-together there -- maybe in addition to the proposed Seattle meet?

I'd come out for a clickie mech meet-and-greet, certainly.
