I'm not saying it's impossible because the writers and devs have pulled off some amazing things in the past, but if they succeed in making me feel even a quantum of sympathy for Alaric, I will be EXTREMELY impressed. :cheesy:Did they say how us fans should communicate this to them? There's a couple things, that if released, would leave me deliriously happy. For years.

The Firefly is in the Mercs box already.
True, I just listed it since it was being discussed above.

Actually is it the Falcon that is missing still from WD book?

And it wouldn't hurt to be in a cheaper Forcepack, but having doubles would only be for collectors and masochists.

Actually is it the Falcon that is missing still from WD book?

Falcon, Imp, and Hornet have yet to be released in plastic.

The WD book introduce the Annihilator, Falcon, Firefly, Flea, Hoplite, Hornet, Imp, Marauder II, Shogun, and Wolfhound.

The Maraduer II is in the Direct Fire Lance.  The Wolfhound is in the Striker Lance, Kell Hounds Lance, and in the Somerset Strikers pack.  The Annihilator is in the Dragoons Star.  The Firefly and Flea come in the Mercenaries box.  The Shogun and Hoplite in the new Assault Lance.

For Vehicles, there is the Badger (but no mushrooms), Bandit, Kestrel, Peregrine, Plainsman, and Zhukov.  All in metal, but none in plastic.

Personally, I'd rather see the Ostsol in a ForcePack before the Firefly.

The Kerenskycon list had a force pack with an Ostsol so it seems Catalyst agrees with that opinion.

I agree.  The Lights in the Mercenaries box are not the best.  And this is coming from someone that got an Ostsol in Salvage as well as the Mercenary box.

Heck, and Ostmann Inustries Lance would make a lot of sense, too.

I keep forgetting the WD use the Wolfhound as well.  Ugh.

During the 4th Succession War, yeah.  But this was also back at a time when they would introduce new units in source books rather than it being an exclusive to the unit/faction.

Yeah, I thought it was ODD that they didn't simply have an "Ost Lance Pack", rather than the Merc pack with 3 of the 4 Osts in it.  :undecided:

The number of light mechs has been quite low in the new force packs. But I would feel pretty cheated if I got 4 Wasp or Stingers when I could of got 4 nice Heavys or Assults for the same price.

Not my doing, they are alphabetical in the book.  It actually bugs my OCD that they aren't in weight order first like the TROs.

To be fair, TROs tend to be rather light on Lights (no pun intended).  With everything that's out, we're missing 4 Lights (maybe 5, depending on how you see the Hermes) that were given stats before TRO 3050.  The Falcon and Hornet are 2, but there's also the Thorn and Hussar (along with aformntioned Hermes) from TRO 2750.

TRO 3050 didn't have any new IS Lights, on their own (except maybe the Raven?).  It had the Wolf Trap (M), Axman(H), Caesar (H), Cataphract (H), Hatamato-Chi (A), Katana (ish) (A), and Mauler on the IS side.  I'm not even sure how many of those were in prior sourcebooks.

I just remember the Wolf Dragoons book so well since it was the first Battletech book I read.

Things that I'm annoyed that I know off the top of my head: The Raven and Cataphract first appeared in the House Liao sourcebook, the only two units that were statted-out in any of that series of books. The Katana is just a renamed (and downgraded) Crockett from 2750. The Wolf Trap, Caesar, Hatamoto, and Mauler were original to TR3050, as was the Axman.

Episode 37
https://youtu.be/T8kW11hVu80
17th December 2024
Guest: Randall Bills, CGL Creative Director

News
-There’s an end of year sale on the CGL webstore, running until 2nd January.  Anything ordered now will probably not arrive by Christmas.  25% off your total order if you spend $50 or more
-Don’t forget to join the webstore mailing list!
-December releases
--McCarron’s Armoured Cavalry is out at retail in Barnes & Noble now.  Exclusivity period is 6 months
--Shrapnel 19
--A Night in the Woods, a novella by Michael Stackpole about the Kell Hounds Death Kangaroos
-No Tuesday Newsday for the next two weeks.
-There were 300 Mercenaries backers in Asia
--All orders are packaged at the distributor.
--After this all orders for a specific location will be loaded onto a container, which ships out to the location when it is full
--Once the container ships, local partners will pick up the packages and ship to the backers.
--This means that from a logistical perspective Asia is complete, even though it’s going to be some time before the actual shipping will happen

-Randall noted that he’s a very ambitious person, but even then he didn’t realise how huge an endeavour the World Tour was going to be.
-He described it as Glorious, Amazing and it beat the living crap out of him
-He determined the areas or regions he would attend by picking a con he was going to attend, and then figure out locations he could visit.  He liaised with Alliance to find stores that were the biggest sellers, mapped them out, and then went to the Demo Team to see what locations had really good support.
-Randall had stories about different stops on the trip, shouted out locations and shops and cons, I’d say you’re better off listening to this section instead of reading a recap
-They talked about the Freddie Prinze Jr stuff

BattleTech Aces discussion from Pax mentioned
-Next week’s guest will be Josh Perian, lead developer on Ilkhan’s eyes only
-Two weeks after that the guest will be Bryan Young, author of Voidbreaker.

Q&A:
-Is there a plan to cover stock shortages and damaged stock for the remaining Mercs fulfillment?  This was attempted to be planned for - they ordered 115% of the stock in the first place but the issues with production caused an issue of course.  It’s very different to get a running inventory during fulfillment, so when a region completes fulfillment they’ll do an inventory and any excess will be transferred if there are issues in other regions, either direct from hub to hub or back to CGL who will handle it centrally
-Will the Mercs box be available to ship outside the US?  If yes how does that square with CGL’s plans to release in regions one by one?  This was explained in part in a backer update, the delays for regions obviously weren’t part of the initial plan but they need to help out their retailers. They can’t shut off international shipping on the webstore but given the high shipping cost issues on the store they feel it’ll discourage people ordering. They’re planning to hold to international street dates, keeping as best as they can to the spirit of their promise.
-Who do you contact if you received a package from the CGL webstore that was missing an item?  Email Store@catalystgamelabs.com, and if you have emailed them already check your spam filter, they have issues with email that are being worked on.
-Whatever happened to the City/Lunar BFM? Rem couldn’t find it on the product schedule quickly, she’ll check it out. The last she saw it was due for release in September.

Any mention of whether this would be available from CGL store on that day? Reason i ask is that HS:Hinterlands (or maybe another product, can't fully remember) was advertised for mid-week but the PDF wasn't available until Saturday morning (AEST).
