I started off just trying to do a "What if the Clan Phoenix Hawk redesign was heavier but still fit the general role of the original", I really did, but then I hit that shiny "Experimental Tech" button and this is the result. It jumps 300 meters through the air and pastes you with twin targeting-computer-guided Clan Large Pulse Lasers until you die. Absolute bane of Light 'Mechs, can legit force to-hit scores of 13+ for the opposing team, and even if you do manage to hit it... it has functionally full armour. Downside is that its BV cost is akin to some very effective Assault 'Mechs, however given a patient enough pilot you could probably take down said Assault 'Mechs with it.

If you remove all of the lower arm actuators you have 1 too few crits for Ferro Lam. If you made it Mixed Tech I guess you could technically go ahead and give it a small cockpit in order to allow it to fit and give it 168 points of Ferro Lam, however even I'm not that degenerate.

This is the kind of design that loses you friends at hobby shops.

This is the kind of design that loses you friends at hobby shops.
Essentially it is a Pariah B with a longer jump.  BV cost is only roughly 50 points more which is a negligable cost.  It would be a pain to deal with, but not something I'd lose friends over at any of my tables.

As a dueling machine it would be hard to beat.  As part of star/lance formation it will be a hell of a harrasser but there are foils to it.

For munchkin purposes, mechanical jump boosters can provide a half dozen more tons on a jump 10 mech, and if you make it a tripod you eliminate the downside of mechanical jump boosters.

But, it's actually possible to make fire disparities even worse via Jump 7+CLPS+3xLPL+TC+ECM.   Opponents may choose between losing, having AE weapons, or moving 8 or more per round.

Actually, I wonder if those "War of the Worlds" minis are still out there. Imagine a scenario with slow tripods each with a large laser attacking a local militia. And then ... SPROING! 2/3/10 movement!
