6mm Cityscape WIP
« on: 14 August 2019, 14:30:40 »
I've gotten some more stuff into basic paint.  These are all matboard buildings, that were assembled, sealed with a sandable lacquer sealer, then primed and painted with textured spray paint.  The city streets and building bases are also from GameCraft.

First, Iliada Game Studio (https://www.iliadagamestudio.com/6mm) buildings. I used a dark red primer, then applied the textured paint.

Now for the stuff from GameCraft  (https://gcmini.mybigcommerce.com/6mm-1-285th/):

I still have some details to finish up, like roof greeblies, doors and window film. If I get really motivated I may add some washes and drybrushing to them as well.  I also have many more street sections to get painted as well.

I think the grey works better than the red, but can't wait to see the window film versions for either!

Overall I like the grey better too, but I didn't want all the buildings to be the same color. I may go back and make some of them blue, as well.

If there was some way to add a brick pattern to the red, I think it would work...

Sweet!

I still think the smooth grey looks the best (i.e., most like concrete... the textured ones seem to have grit that's too large for the scale).

That's fair. I just didn't want to have everything be the same color, it looked too dull.  Here's a few shots of some more stuff in basic color, including a different color for some textured stuff:

The smooth textures are definitely better, regardless of color.  Also, you might want to shrink the width a bit on the photos...

Needs a Metallic building and some Signage, like a Bank or Corp. Maybe a Parking Garage... have you thought of a City Skyline with parks and / or River site? A Zoo...

I have a collection of signs, but haven't gotten them into paint yet. Metalics for buildings are also in the works.
