I already have FASA sizes hexed terrain and very much enjoy it, but decided to go a little bigger this time. I have some forests and some hills (aktually: that is all the hills). Bigger hexes allows to place a 'Mech properly in the forest and make weapon distances a little more realistic. Next phases are water and city outskirts.

Is that corrugated cardboard to make the hills/bases? I'm working on something similar myself right now

It is cork: light, very durable and very easy to glue and paint. Similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Quartet-Corkboard-Bulletin-Natural-102/dp/B0018DHBAK . Unfortunately those hills are still too low to properly cover BattleMech by level 2.

Thanks. Actually, those are road trains, Gienah-Durapaq Elite Series 3 wannabees. And there are more, than two.

They are half based on Brigane Models monorail series http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/6mmSF/Monorail.html and custom tracked chassis from Red Alert 2.

Transported vehicles are Scotia Grendel scrap and old 1:300 models from GZG. Fits the scale and it is good enough.
