"You're welcome, by the way. For that whole Jihad thing."
The Jihad left both visible scars and invisible ones, on both sides. Like many wars, its veterans were left unsatisfied. And, like many wars, its fighters continue on long after it's over. Christopher Purnell takes us to Caph at the turn of the century, chasing Blakist war criminals.

Hmmm... 3098: things are moving forward.
Looking forward to this - thanks.

Reminds me of Simon Wiesenthal's Nazi hunting efforts. When I'd read the title, I'd half expected a riff on an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
-
It's well written, but like anything Republic based I find my attention wandering. Backhanded compliment I know.

The resemblance is intentional, so I'm glad it did.

I like the story, tells a story of one of many atrocitys during the Jihad and what comes of it decades after. When the big lizard/dino showed up I kept thinking of Jurrasic Park.

Me too. I know this carnosaur is supposed a little smaller, but my mind immediately hit on the image of the T-Rex roaring.

Pretty good!! I'm liking all the backstory of the RotS so we can see what happens at the end of the Jihad.

A very good read. I love the Terran Legion and the undercurrents of tension and instability that they throw into the Republic. The Manei Domini appear now to be less dangerous than the more 'frail' followers of the Word.

Liked the story, but the end was a bit - abrupt?
The role of Erin Blum could have been a bit more detailed.
-
not bad i guess. i found it was a bit forced and erin's character could have been fleshed out a bit more, also i agree that the ending was 'abrupt'

Good story. I hope to see more of the hunters in future stories.

Loved the story, Hopefully we will see more stories set between the end of the Jihad and the start of the Dark Age novels.

Finally a first step into the Republic era. Hope for more stories set in this time frame.
