we on east coast in tri state area got hit with 4+ earthquake...about 10 30 am
most areas got 7 to 25 second shake
damn thing knocked down minis on my game board i was playing over zoom

Felt like I was back in Ecuador. We would feel little ones every week or 2. Was surprised to feel one in PA, though. I wasn't afraid though, more like surprised. Then my wife talked to me about her experiences feeling an 8.5 in Ecuador...

Being from SoCal and experiencing a quake every other month or so during my time there, now you know who we feel. :grin:

well those of us in tri state are had not felt o been in one in ages...so its in the news and now every one is an expert in geology

I'm just hoping it's not a foreshock to something bigger. That part of the country doesn't build for quake survival.

Unlikely. The East Coast sometimes gets small quakes, but the lack of major fault lines means it doesn't really have the right setup for big quakes to happen.
On the other hand, you get hurricanes. And they're predicting a bad year for Atlantic Hurricane Season 2024.

I don't remember how many earthquakes we had in the PNW growing up, but it was a lot. And that didn't count Mt. St. Helens...

I can swear I feel little rumbles now and again. Nothing major, probably not even a 1.0 but I'll feel like my chair or bed is just kind of vibrating ever so slightly and slowly.

sadly I didn't feel this one. since i no longer in Delaware. ( wish I was still and I hope to get back there some point maybe)but then again.. It seems all I ever done for the past 5 years , is work come home(last 9 months at current place I reside) and clean and do chores for my ex and now roommates. I have not done anything for myself that was not related to work, house needs, or pet needs. Even my 3d printing has been more of to try and make a buck or fill a request for someone else.

sadly I recall visiting the west coast relative and while I'm looking for a safe place because the ground is moving and thing on shelves were moving, they are looking at me like I'm the crazy one.
