Good news and bad news on the comparison. That's been in progress for a while now, although I haven't done a lot with it lately. I'm still waiting to see what at least Volume 2 has in it as well as the sheets for Historical: Reunification War.

Exactly! I've got a few pieces of it written. More or less, it's going to summarize the major designs of the period (with links to articles for the ones that have them), then look at some of the overall conclusions you can draw, such as the transition from support vehicles to true combat vehicles epitomized by the Marsden I/Marsden II evolution.

I see lots of tanks and choppers being discused, but not much in the way of anything els, how about we do articles on some of the big blue water navy stuff? :)

We could start with the Wyrm SDS sub, love that thing, then the Rattler MK ll, the Triton Missil Submarine i always thought was a nice ship and would deff be a good addition to any water heavy planet, as would the nifty Lysander Carrier Submarine, then the serface ships like the huge Luftenburg SuperCarrier and Meabh Heavy Cruiser, Even some of the armed Trains are pretty cool, though i do not know if they would be worth there own articles at the moment :/
Then we have things like the Torrent Heavy Bomber, thats the FIRST plane in BT that i have heard in the terms of "BOMBER" and i feel this is worth exploring. Though the Air Ships i feel are just plain worthless as combat units, on the other hand some of the Wiges i feel are worth there own articles , some like the Koi / Ryu Transport Wiges are amazing to me and i would definitly use them to move flanking forces.
Can you emagine how bad ass cops are in BT are when they have such choppers as the Soar / Peacekeeper SWAT Carrier!? I mean CMON! cops with that kind of firepower! talk about overkill XD lol especialy when they have equipment like the SmoothDavid ll / SmoothGoliath ll PAL suits, cmon, COPS with PAL!? sheesh, i feel bad for bank robbers XD lol.

Most of these come from TR: Vehicle Annex and the First few from JHS: Terra, I can throw page numbers and other such info if you like. Hope that eventualy all these get there own articles, becouse when I look at them, even though some are impractical, on the modern battlefeild they can be vary dangerous units. And a few, like the Cops equipment i mentioned last would go great in the RPG aspect of BT.

I cover other types of units from time to time. I've covered farm equipment and I've covered the Ahab, for instance. However, a lot of what I write is request driven, and the requests lately have been combat vehicles.

As a general note, I'm not that interested in covering anything TROVA at the moment due to the known problem of the stats being frequently unreliable and the fact that we have a republish somewhere in the pipeline, but at an unpredictable location. Given that the stats could be changing underneath me, I'm loath to make definitive statements on the vehicles at this time. Also, I really prefer that people limit requests to a maximum of 3-4 at once.

To address the specifics in order:
- The Wyrm and Rattler have been covered in the past and the articles are being reposted.
- The Torrent, despite technically being a vehicle, was covered by Fighter of the Week, as was the Mosquito. PM Trace about getting the articles reposted.

As for the rest, the only response I have is that they'll get covered when they get covered. I'm not refusing to cover TROVA material ever, but it's not going on my priority list right now.

I would be interested in trying my hand at one of these, but I'm afraid I don't possess the requisite sourcebooks/record sheets to point out the various idiosyncracies (or, really, even write up the article to completeness) to my or any one else's satisfaction.

I'll add the Manticore to the schedule but it may be a while - I've had some significant other concerns come up that are cutting into my writing time, which is why I handed off to chanman this week, and there's a lot of Manticore variants to cover. It'll happen sooner or later, however.

Well, that answers the question of what I'm doing for Monday, at least - one of the Thumper or Danai, I'll decide later. Also, if you're curious whether or not something's been covered, the best place to look first is always the Fan Article Directory. While it occasionally gets a week behind, chanman indexes pretty much everything for us.

To save you some time, the Moltke (and Augustus) and Marksman have both been covered.

I can certainly give it a good attempt. It took me about four hours to write the Uziel article, and my best guess is it's easier to write about vehicles than it is 'Mechs. :P

Nope. Repost is for articles that are specifically being reposted (my reposts came from the last board iteration, for instance), not new articles on units that have been covered before.

I'd be up for writing another article, schedule permitting.

I don't really have reliable access to any TRO that's not between 2750 and 3067 and/or Project Phoenix, so my ability to cover some of the newer stuff is limited, but anything up to then I could probably nab.
