You fall in whole elevations at a time.

You mean altitudes. VTOLs use elevation, asf use altitude. And it is easier to survive a crash from altitude 1 than crashing from altitude 5. At least you can salvage the wreck from altitude 1. From 5... there usually isn't anything left.

You can be over that ground map and still be at Altitude 10. And it is possible to survive a crash, in combat-capable condition, no less.

Thus why I said with some care on the part of the ASF pilot/player.  You can dive bomb from as high as altitude 5 and if you fail your PSR for taking damage you lose altitude from where you started, not where you end.  Strafing is riskier but again the 1d6 still has to land right.

You can be over that ground map and still be at Altitude 10. And it is possible to survive a crash, in combat-capable condition, no less.

While I'm pretty sure Weirdo, and other members of the Aerospace Mafia, already knows part of what I'm about to say I figure for the sake of clarity I should go ahead and state that altitude 8 is the limit of line of sight and while it is something of a presumption on my part I do believe you can level bomb from altitude 10.
