Order and Chaos Thread
« on: 27 January 2011, 00:07:58 »
In the span of space and time, there was a Battletech Universe that ended with the destruction of all its inhabitants by a bioweapon. But due to machinations of Guy Michaels, an interdimensional immortal, a single survivor escaped into the megaverse, a sprial of multiverses on the long trail of the omniverse, by being given the immortal sword, Freedom. One of the ancient swords of author fiat, this survivor had a weapon that could create and destroy anything in his path. Rendered immortal as well by being the last survivor of his reality, this survivor was Lord Harlock. In his home universe, he had become the Duke of a Periphery March, but after surviving the end of his reality, he was left empty.

The loss of his family and friends left a hole that over a hundred and seventy five years never was restored. Finally he decided to end the entire omniverse after learning that he was something called a newtype. At the exact place of creation in the prime reality, he nearly was able to destroy reality. However, he discovered three young girls that had escaped from his men. As his mad scheme began to unravel, Lord Harlock realized the stupidity of his plains, and he escaped. However, the interdimensional beings known as the Lords of Order decided to use the man as their champion. They placed him back in his home reality of CBT306720042005 where he was given the task of controlling others who would attempt to destroy reality.

And for ten years, Harlock worked on his own. He set up a interdimensional bank that worked to curb chaotic elements in the universe. And at the same time, he started to sit up an empire from his seat of power on NeoArcadia. Acquiring technology from various realities that appealed to his Davion upbringings, he soon had a military that could take on any other force interdimensional force. And then he discovered KhanMoff GBScientist and reality of EV7 in a battle to protect the Santa Claus of Earth Prime Minor CBT-H. The two men after nearly killing each other gained a grudging respect for one another.

However, the two soon got the attention of Palpatine. The Emperor who had taken over the body of his grandson sought to take over all reality to usher in the Ultimate Age of the Sith. Lord Harlock who had nearly lost everything battled the revitalized Palpatine to the death. And then after regaining everything, Lord Harlock feared the destruction that was occurring. He and GBScientist broke their alliance, and eventually a cold war that not even the renowned Bob could solve. Fighting over ancient weapons and crystals, the two interdimensional powers nearly were engulfed in a war planned by Loki.

Loki sought to escape his prison. And he used agents such as Max Liao of the Confederate Suns and his Space Bunnies, Demons, Voldermort, and of course His Divine Shadow. Loki did escape, but due to Harlock and GBScientist patching up their alliance, the trickster god lost and was trapped once more. After the insanity of the Trickster Wars, Harlock sought to find a mate. And he did find one in Nanami Jinnai, but their love was not to last.

After the birth of Harlock's heir, Augustus, the Champion of Order along with his ally the Agent of Chaos was thrust into a new powerplay by the Shadow Alliance. Bringing together the Shadows, the Daleks, Romulans, and other powers pissed to discover that they were created by one single Earth known as Earth Prime, the Shadow Alliance and their leader the Shadow Lord nearly was able to bore a hole through the layers of defense to the authentic Earth Prime where they could find their creators and get back at them for creating them to lose. Stopped at the last minute by Optimus Prime and Ezekiel the Master of the Chaos Marines convinced the Shadow Lord aka Peter Parker the Amazing Spider-Man who had gained all the power of a Marvel Universe to give up his mad quest to make the Marvel Editor and Chief pay for the pain for all of his pains.

With the Omniverse safe, Lord Harlock and GBScientist hoped that reality was finally settled, but to no avail, a new Time War had begun with the Master of Time. For over a year, the two have been fighting with their allies including the enigmatic Comedian, the mysterious Bob, and other organizations. Though the mysterious disappearance of Mythril bugs him, Harlock hopes that his other allies returns as well. However, the Master might not be Harlock's greatest threat.

For years, his Empire has brought people from doomed universes from other refugees from other Sunners to elves. The society is starting to fray, and the greatest danger may be Samantha, one of the girls who made Harlock turn from his evil path, has returned. She seeks to remake Arcadian society without her adopted father on top. And at the same time, a new mysterious religion has appeared in Arcadia City. What this has to do with an attack on a far away colony is anybody's guess.

But the Emperor of the Arcadian Empire hopes that his time is not running out as the battle is beginning on a polarity reversed Gallifrey.

And so continues Order and Chaos!

At the dawn of time there was a Thought.  That Thought brought about the universe.  The universe expanded and grew, until it produced Life, as planned by the Thought.  Life grew and changed until it brought about a species capable of Thought, Humans.  Through each conscious decision, the universe branched, a different branch for each option of each decision.  One day, Humans created fiction, which created new universes much like their own, but different in ways governed by the Thought of their creator.  These new universes grew and branched, until the multiverse, megaverse, omniverse, and multiple other levels of reality derived from fiction and decision, were formed.

One universe out of the myriad of creations was different.  It was empty by design.  This universe, known only by a catalog prefix, contained only the Sol system, and one completely devoid of life at that.  It was to this universe that refugees came.  The refugees fled wars of utter annihilation from two universes.  One group fled from the genocidal nuclear bombardment of the Word of Blake, the other group fled the nihilistic organic weaponry of the Yuuzhan Vong.  They fled to the same universe, seemingly by chance, but were led by the same man.  The two groups of refugees had never had contact with one another, and had only just been given dimensional travel by a fluke discovery of their leader.  How was it possible that these two men were one in the same.

The man, the leader, was a Composite Soul, a single mind and spirit that drove many bodies across the multiverse, even on Earth Prime.  He called himself GBscientist.  It was at the behest of this man that the barren universe to which they had run came to be.  It was by his hand that each of the two groups gained interdimensional travel.  And it was under his command that the two groups of refugees, the survivors of the Rasalhague Dominion and the Imperial Remnant, were forged into the Rasalhague Empire.

The new Empire descended from their ships and burrowed homes into the surfaces of Mars and Titan.  They began the long and arduous process of terraforming the dead planet Tartarus, known in most universes as Earth or Terra.  The set up factories on Ceres and shipyards orbiting Mars.  Finally, they constructed the RiftGate, a massive torus orbiting Saturn, through which all interdimensional travel into and out of that pocket universe would pass.  (Through the machinations of the evils that would come later, Tartarus was changed from a rocky ball barely sheathed in atmosphere to a jungle planet filled with predators and home to colonies of Colicoids and Geonosians.)

Then came a fateful Christmas.  GBscientist launched an invasion to stop the Santa Defense Force and gain control of Santa's Sack.  The forces opposing him were pituful until the arrival of Lord Matthew Harlock and his battle fleet.  The two fleets fought to the bitter end, eventually losing both of their flagships.  GBscientist was forced to retreat to EV7 without the Lego AT-AT he so desired but with a respect for Lord Harlock.

GBscientist and Harlock fought with along side each other against Palpatine, Loki, and the Shadow Lord before their alliance began to show cracks.  GBscientist gained custody of a child born of Harlock and a Decepticon Pretender.  Harlock was given the child, but the Decepticons kidnapped her back.  Finally, the Autobots intervened and took the child, now aged into a woman by energon exposure, into their care, but the damage was done.  GBscientist now doubted Harlock's sanity and Harlock doubted GBscientist's intentions.  It was some time before both men came to understand that the breakdown of their alliance had been manipulated by The Master of Time in an effort to weaken the one of the united forces capable of stopping his mad plan.  With the truth revealed, war fleets now wait in both empires to fly to Gallifrey and stop the mad Master.

Pocket Universe Echo-Victor 7, Saturn Orbit

"All ship in position.  Awaiting go code," the comm officer aboard the Allegiance class Star Destroyer Dominator called out.

"General broadcast," Admiral Nathan Tagge ordered.  The comm officer nodded in assent.  "On my mark, initiate Operation: Counter-Clockwise.  Three, two , one, mark!"

Deep inside the star system, Bull Station a Galaxy Gun orbiting Mars, fired a nucleonic torpedo at 0.8c.  An instant after leaving the barrel of the massive weapon, the torpedo entered hyperspace.  It arrived just ahead of the RiftGate in perfect time to dive through a newly formed rift to The Master's Gallifrey.  Once a safe distance into Gallifrey space, the torpedo detonated at its maximum capacity, causing a wave of self-sustaining subnuclear fission in every proton and neutron within range.  It managed to catch one of the six TARDISes guarding the planet off guard and disable it.

The TARDISes were in their battle form.  Their chameleon circuits made the visible hull of the ship into an imposing coral dodecahedron, capable of firing temporal blasts from any of its vertexes.

The crew of the Dominator tensed as they entered the rift behind the droid-operated ships the Dominator directed.  They were right to be afraid.  The madman they were about to face was one of the last two of a species that made the Progenitors, Forerunners, Vorlons, Pak, Old Ones, and every other ancient species shiver with fear by the mere mention of their name: The Time Lords.

Transit through dimensions
Observation Room Aboard the ChristKaiser III

Matthew Harlock sat in a stiff chair staring at the swirling mists of the place between dimensions. For a moment, he heard the door to this public room on board the flagship opened. In stepped a woman in the white uniform of ANGEL, the Arcadian Empire Intellegence Agency, she was one the original three angels. Clover was the hardest to deal when the three were growing up, but she was the most loyal now in adulthood.

"So, you are actually going to fight in a mobile suit in this one?" she snarlingly stated. Her adopted father in his black flight armor chuckled. "Well, I figure that Admiral William Hardy can handle the overall strategy of the fleet. On the other hand, we need a commander on the ground who can deal with the unusual as they arise." Clover sat in a chair next to her father. "Yeah and the fact that your current machine is one of the few that can survive temporal attacks doesn't have anything to do with it."

Harlock sighed. "It's hard to hide my true intention." Clover smiled, "I was the trouble child when the three of us were growing up; I know your ticks better than Sammy." She then saw a red mist twist in a blue cloud. Harlock laughed. "Though it may be faster to take GBScientist's riftgates, but there is something unique about transphase travel."

Clover looked at her father. "So, this is based on Shadow tech?" Harlock laughed. "It's one of the reasons that GBScientist thought that the Shadows were Arcadian forces during the Shadow War, but it's Shadow Tech readopted to less organic technology by Shade."

And then there was a shudder and a change in the hum. Harlock rose. "Clover, the fleet is about to enter into combat. I need to get to my post just as you do." Clover nodded as the windows closed up above them.

Into the the ChristKaiser III and its fifteen escorts appeared above Gallifrey near the EV7 forces. As the ChristKaiser III transformed into battle mode, the flagship continued to launch fighters and mobile suits. The Ferengi on board the TARDISes were shocked when the Arcadian vessels and fighters did not turn to dust.

After a year of fighting the Master's forces, the Arcadians had developed expensive armor and field generators that kept the Master's forces from using their primary weapons on them. However, the TARDISes had other weapons to use. It was becoming a stalemate as the Arcadians and Rasalhague forces were engaging the five remaining massive geometric vessels.

But moving into position were thirty Girty Lue Shadow Cruisers, they carried inside them weapons that would crack the Master's headquarters open. Due to their near perfect invisibility, the vessels were nearly almost in position.

[OOC: Well then. Forum nukage. Hecks to the yeah! I'm back, and have been back.]

A set of wormholes opened over another system in the same galaxy as the first set. Two this time. Each spewed forth four of the 106m long, spined firgates, and a single cruiser-class vessel at 285m. Identical to the previous setup, they immediately began to attempt to deply the same offensive computer onslaught before approaching the planet's defense grids.

Arcadia City, NeoArcadia
Arcadia Empire
CBT306720042005

Samantha looked over the crowd. She nodded to her side at Michael. Then she smiled, and the speech began. "Ladies and Gentlemen, many of you see my father is a sort of god. Which I have to admit he goes out of his way to dispel."

At the same time, three travelers from another dimension were eating at a cafe. "I mean really what kind of restaurant doesn't have cheese steaks! You think that someone has something against sandwiches." screamed the rather large fellow. Jaime laughed. "Well, we found a pizza place, so would you please stop complaining about it. Else we could march to the  sandwich place  that guy suggest that is farther out in the city. I want to hear what the red head has to say," says Jaime.

Kiva who has been looking at technical diagrams peaks up. "Ah, I wasn't saying anything," she said. Her right hand had been working on some calculations. The big problem for the three was that the Arcadia Scientist had worked for several hours to determine their dimension of origin only to bang their heads after Coop had tried to help them. The scientist then gave them several thousand of the local currency. And after talking to the first plump elf that any of them had ever seen, Coop had them walked to this cafe to get a pizza since the sandwich shops were about ten miles away from the military installations and Fortress Arcadia.

However Jaime became enamored with Samantha and insisted that they set outside. The middle class crowd was listening to the young woman's speech calling for reforms on cybernetics, social safety nets, and the downfall of her father. "Wait, that's that dude's daughter. He was like twenty-five." Coop laughed as the cheesebread finally arrived. As massive paw like hand grabbed the first cheesy appetizer, he laughed. "Well dude, look over at that fellow over there. He appears to be kissing that redhead as well."

Jaime then looked dower. "Darnit, are all the good women taken?" Kiva looked up again from the schematics. "Did someone say something?"

Samantha then ended her speech. "And what does my father do for the outer mining colonies that are being attacked? He goes on pointless crusade against a mild problem when his so-called people are under siege. End the Crown!"

The cheer continued.

The Citadel of the Time Master, Gallifrey

"Oh this is going to be so fun. It feels so good would a plan comes together," laughed the Master. Wearing the robes of his former college of Time Lords, he  looked at the red sleeves and then to the steeps before him. "When they have reached these sacred steeps, the final movement will began. And a new day will dawn."

For a moment the Master considered all of the pain that he had gone through to reach this moment. Of the torture that was inflicted on him by his own race to survive their own damn mistake. The hypocrisy of the Time Lords was self invident in the so-called refusal to alter time and help lesser species, but when threatened with a well deserved end from years of interference with the Daleks, they tore at time itself to keep from the grave.

The Master turned his head to look at Rassilion trapped near a smaller Eye of Harmony that the Master had constructed. The pylon had swirling tendrils of energy that would have scarred the first Time Lord if not for the suit that the Master had placed on him. "You used me, Rassilion. Like you used all of us," screamed the Master. The first Time Lord who the Time Lords in the desperation resurrected during the Great Time War had in a way created the Master by creating his flaw eons ago as a beacon.

The Master pulled a device from a pouch in his cloak. "And now as time begins its final clicks towards midnight, I have to say that you deserve to go to Hell for crimes even more numerous than my own. But Hell is too good for you, old bean." The Master smiled. "Say hi to Omega when you get to the other side. A better Jailer, I could not create."

Laughing, the Master pressed a button on his laser screwdriver. Beams hit and melted the chains on Rassilion, and he floated up and into the swirling hole in the universe. The Master turned away. "And now begins the final movement." With his gloved hand, the Master tapped a bit against the stone wall. Buh-Buh-Buh-Bump. Buh-Buh-Buh-Bump. Buh-Buh-Buh-Bump.

OOC: Harlock, The Master's drum sequence was four beats, not three.  More of a Buh-Buh-Buh-Bump.

Gallifrey Orbit

The 24 Recusant-class Destroyers built to reinforce Remote Contingency Squadron took the point on the drive for the planet.  Temporal disruption fire spearing from the TARDISes had little effect on the droid-operated starships; Weeks old or centuries old, the ships would function much the same way.  The concentrated fire from their spinal heavy turbolaser cannons managed to crack the hull of one TARDIS, spewing atmospher and crew.

In between the Rasalhague and Arcadian fleets and the TARDISes, hundreds of droids starfighters swirled.  Vultures, Tri-Fighters, Hyena bombers, and HMP gunships made repeated strafing, bombing, and missile runs on the geometric starships, each one knocking off mere pebbles from the coral hulls of the TARDISes.  On the other hand, a few pebbles per missile and bomb when thousands of such warheads were impacting was starting to leave distinctly weakened craters in the TARDISes hulls.

Over Gallifrey

Lord Harlock in his mobile suit was using his shields to protect other Arcadian fighters. Sitting in his mobile suit, he smiled as he locked on the leaking Tardis. It was not done for yet. Clicking a couple of buttons, Harlock's mobile suit's right arms lifted up, and the hand suddenly lipped forward. Out of the tube was a small tracking device. During the year of fighting the Master's forces and when faced with higher levels of Time Lord technology, the more difficult it became to get locks on their vessels.

And with the tracker now on, missile from Arcadian fighters along with destroyers were suddenly being fired into the vessel. Joining with EV7 forces, the cracks pn the Tardis continued till finally ship started to collapse in on itself. The coral ripped apart but in its death it didn't explode instead it sucked in on itself.

And for a moment, Harlock heard the voice of the TARDIS is it died.

As ChristKaiser III fired its main cannon creating another hole in another TARDIS, an Arcadian Destroyer suddenly was hit with a blast from a third TARDIS. As it died, swarms of EV7 droids and Arcadia fighters took fire on the hole in the TARDIS. One of the wings spun off the Destroyer, and the main body of the warship slipped into hole in the Tardis.

On the bridge of the destroyer, its captain struggled as the ship crashed through the inside of the TARDIS. It was dimensional larger than anyone expected. His right arm loose and flopping held to his body by scraps of skin and the left arm. Knowing that his ship was doomed, the Captain let his arm go, it fell over. The pain was great.

However, he had one last trick left. Pulling out a key, the console that he wanted still looked like it had power. He put the key into a slot. And then he laughed as the computer mangled voice spoke. "Please //pet detuck phr. . .," The captain spoke one last finally sentance. "From Hell's heart, I stab at thee."

And then the Protoculture core suddenly exploded. And a second TARDIS was gone this time in a explosion.

Over Gallifrey

The TARDIS that had been the unfortunate recipient of the continuous barrage of bombs and missiles form Imperial droid fighters had one more stroke of bad luck coming.  It fell into the sights of a pair of Providence-class droid cruisers.  Having already lost most of its temporal weapon emitters to fighter attacks, the TARDIS was hard pressed to defend itself when the Providences bombarded it with a pair of furious capital proton torpedo broadsides.  Approaximately a third of the TARDIS' hull blew apart as detonation after detonation of the torpedos' proton scattering warheads shattered the molecular cohesion of the alchemically-enhanced coral.

Following on the massive hull damage the cruisers inflicted, the third ship of their attack line, a LucreHulk-class battleship, used its forward turbolasers to spear throught the gaping rents in the TARDIS' coral hull and gut the interior, turning the living ship into a blackened, dead hulk.

Arcadia City, Neo Arcadia Arcadian Empire(CBT306720042005)- Shadow Tech Building

Morden Shade sat in a chair. He wasn't use for the need of a chair. Considering that he was originally a arachnoid of sorts, he had no idea what it meant to sit in a chair. Usually he rested on his six legs upright. Humans had to use a chair. But it helped when looking over massive amount of data to sit.

As he shifted through the data coming from a strange anomaly from universe Primax 109.0 Beta that produced a sort of energy similar to something that he had seen before. Clicking his fingers, Shade turned to reports from the colonies that had been hit by the mysterious attackers. How Lord Harlock had missed this? And then he smiled as he realizes that his young protege had missed it because of a simple detail.

Though it was probably intercepted by the Vector Sigma unit that Shade had figured out still had one back door in it that only a so-called "God of Order" could use. Shade had been trying to control political problems for Lord Harlock as a friend by having his news agencies report abotu other details. However, the problem is that news in the Arcadian Empire was driven by consumers. And people wanted to know why Mining Colonies were disappearing.

Shade rose, and he moved to the blackened windows. With a motion from him, the massive blinds opened. Shade could see without any help a protest beginning on the Isle of Fashion. "As usual, the Ordered will not assist their champion leaving to face possible doom." Shaking his shade, Shade sighed. "Even after eons, their ordered path must be followed."

Shade turned from the window that closed again. "This may be Lord Harlock's greatest challenge."

Gallifrey

The Master smiled as Grand Nagus Quark entered his chamber. He smiled at the rat like creature. "Ah, I see that you are upset, Quark." Using the rodent like creatures for help amused the Master since it was easy to have them co-opt themselves to him for merely gold. "Lord High Master, it seems that these humons may be able to breach our defenses." And it looked like Quark was a bit under the weather.

The Master smiled. His mind laughed with excitement, but he didn't reveal this to his so-called ally. "Oh I expect it," quipped the Master.  This made Quark uneasy. "What . . . that doesn't make sense by the  . . . the . . .rules of . . .acqu. . . caring?" Quark pushed his hand in front of his mouth.  The Master merely looked at the shrinking Quark as his form seemed to shift. "Ah I see that you are already changing. That's good because it will means that it is all going according to my Master Plan."

And then the Master laughed. "What did you . . . ," Quark said and then he doubled over in pain. The Master merely chuckled. "Oh, you are too trusting, Quark. It was easy to convince your people to add a chemical of my own creation to your food supply. The fact that you are changing now means that you ate well of it." Red fur started to grow rapidly over Quark as the now former Grand Nagus shrank.

The Master walked away as Quark screamed as his large lobes shifted to create a furry round head. "Oh trust me, you will be much cheerier when the enemy starts to storm the Panopticon. And unlike the Dalaks that merely use basically enough brute force to bring down the shields, these invaders will use much more elegant weapons to bring down the shields. And then when they are inside the Capital, you and your species in your new state will lure them in and then the fun will begin."

The change was complete for Quark. The small red and rather willowy being looked at the much larger Master eager for orders. The Master smiled. "I am the Master and you will obey." The being that was Quark saluted and spoke in a horridly sweet voice. "Okeydokie, Masterooney."

The Master gave a smug smile. "Your orders are simple: bring me the immortal. He is the final item that I need for my ascension." As the small red creature with a large orange bulbous nose exited, the sound of other metamorphoses occurring all over the capital filled the still quite normal looking Master with joy.  For the fun was going to begin quite soon.

Above Gallifrey

Thirty invisible vessel began to fire their transdimesional temblor missiles at the shield over the capital. Correctly calibrated the weapons began to wear on the shield over the Master's Citadel dispersing the energy away from the massive machine. Shifting firing positions, the ships had three rounds to fire, but after first shot of the second volley, they noticed the shield was collapsing as if no one was modifying it. And the defenses around the city that were outside the shield had been obliterated.

Thus the Arcadian Commander, gave the signal that the shield and defenses around the capital had fallen.

Gallifrey Orbit

"Two opposing vessels, left, sir," the sensor officer reported.

"Arcadians report that the planetary shield is down.  Landing may commence when ready," the comm officer added.

"Let's finish those ships quickly, so we can launch our landers," Admiral Tagge ordered.  "Concentrate all fire on Target 3."

Across the Imperial attack group, labelled Remote Contingency Force for simplicity, turbolasers and torpedo tubes re-aligned to bear upon the undamaged TARDIS.  The coral vessel held up for almost a full minute, but it would have held up far longer had its crew been Time Lords, rather than Ferengi distracted by a horrific metamorphosis.  The heavy barrage finally did in the TARDIS, causing it to implode with spectacular force.

The last TARDIS would not go down so easily.  Its crew had already been mutated into red-furred, munchkin monsters that were absolutely subservient to the will of The Master.  At the command of the crew, the TARDIS shrank down to the size of a telephone booth and hurtled towards the Dominator.  The ponderous Star Destroyer was unable to evade and the TARDIS burrowed itself deep into the hull, coming to rest about a third of the length of the ship from the bow.  Then the commander of the TARDIS triggered the return of the vessel to battle-size.  The fore two-thirds of the Dominator was ripped apart like a bursting baloon, hurling pulverised metal, pulped biological matter, and atmosphere into space.

"Damage report!" Admiral Tagge demanded as he picked himself up off the floor and glanced at the coral dodecahedron that took up most of the forward viewscreen

"We've lost the bow!" the engineering officer shouted over the blaring klaxons and flashing lights.

"I can see that!  Tell me how the rest of the ship is doing!"

"The hypermatter reactor is heavily damaged and could start leaking any second.  If it does. . ."

"I know perfectly well what will happen if the reactor breaches.  What about the fuel tanks?"

"Almost as bad."

"Signal abandon ship.  All hands to escape pods!" Tagge ordered.

"Aye!" The comm officer replied as he sent the command.  Throughout the Dominator, the computer began reciting 'Abandon Ship' as all the computer consoles flashed the same message.  The bridge crew raced to the escape pods located at the back of the tower, leaving Tagge alone on the bridge.  He stared out at the TARDIS looming ahead of his battered wreck of the ship and scowled.

"Sir?  You coming?" One of the ship's Elemental marines asked as he paused at the bridge hatch.

"Yes, yes!  Right behind you!" Tagge said as he turned away from the bridge and towards the aft of the tower.  The Elemental, not willing to allow a superior officer to be put in danger on his account, made sure to let Tagge run ahead of him.  They both made it to the escape pods, and were the last living crew members to leave the ship.  There were many pods that never launced, simply because the crew that would have ridden in them were trapped or dead already.

Unlike the escape pods and lifeboats that were originally used on Ghost Bear ships, the Imperial escape pods did not compromise between endurance and speed.  The were driven by the same condensed fuel slugs that powered Vulture droid fighters, allowing them to rocket away from the hulk of the Dominator fast enough to outrun the massive detonation of the ship's hypermatter reactor and hypermatter tankage.  The explosion utterly annihilated the remains of the Dominator and half of the TARDIS that had mortally wounded her, not even leaving trace gasses.  The remaining half of the now-dead TARDIS went careening off into deep space.

"Chew on that, you rocky son of a bitch!" Tagge said angrily as he watched the broken hulk go hurtling away.  He waited a few minuted before activating his escape pod's radio so that he could get out of the engagement zone.  "This is Admiral Tagge, requesting pick-up.  Activating distress beacon now."

Over Gallifrey

Harlock watched as the Dominator exploded. His aeroforces in the case of most of the mobile suits and fighters were currently heading back to refuel. The warships were moving as the Shadow Cruisers began shifting to their landing role. Most of his  warships were moving to support the landing, but he knew that the Dominators crew needed to be tended to. And the ChristKaiser III was in range to render support to the EV7.

Opening a channel to Admiral Hardy, his 360 degree display in his cockpit pushed the communication channel. "Admiral Hardy, I want you to support the recovery of the Dominator's crew." Hardy with his Capellan March swagger looked at the Emperor. "We can reroute some of the surviving destroyers and our support and recovery ship." Harlock brought up a display that indicated the level of his support cruiser indicated that it was near to capacity. Star Destroyers were not known for their limited crew sizes.

"With the Disney almost full, the ChristKaiser III has extra space and has the support staff that can assist." And then Hardy sighed. "Sir, the ChristKaiser III would be better at supporting the . . .," Harlock overruled Hardy. "As much as I value your advice, but at the moment, the Dominator's crew needs support asap." Hardy finally acknowledge. "Understood, the ChristKaiser III will implement Search and Rescue Operations immediately. Hardy out."

Harlock smiled. He then gave orders to three mobile suits to follow him. Sure, his newer mobile suit with its faster drives allowed him to move quickly he pushed his suit to the recovery area. As Harlock arrived, he detected several escape pods.

And then he saw Admiral Tagge's pod. Quickly, he opened a channel as he moved his suit's arms to grab hold of the pod. "Admiral Tagge, this is Emperor Harlock of the Arcadian Empire. I've moved my flagship to support the recovery of your crew. Do you wish to be taken to the ChristKaiser III? Or do you have another vessel that I can get you to?"

Near Gallifrey

"A pickup sounds fine right about now, Emperor Harlock," Admiral Tagge replied.  "I'm not picky about which ship I'm on as long as it's not an aluminum sitting duck like the escape pod I'm in right now."

While Tagge was talking to Harlock, CC-9979 assault transports were departing from the two LucreHulks of Remote Contingency Force and heading for Gallifrey's surface under droid fighter escort.  Just above the surface, in the air above the Citadel of Time, Hyena droid bombers made bombing runs and HMP gunships orbited slowly, looking for convenient targets.  The city capital around the Citadel was gone, erased by Arcadian dimensional tremblor bombs, and the walls of the Citadel were starting to crumble as the Hyenas and HMPs took their time, methodically demolishing the structure.

Gallifrey- Citadel of Time

With the relics of Time on him save for the Ring of Rassilon, the Master felt the shudders around him from the bombs. "Oh, I believe its time to deploy the children of Gallifrey." As another round of bombs appeared, the Master pressed a button on the Rod of Rassilon with the Gauntlet of Rassilon. "You can have fun kiddies," he said with a smirk.

As Arcadian fighters arrived to join in the bombing runs on the Citadel, from the Citadel and from the mountain farther from the Arcadian tremblor assault came flying balls that attacked without any warning save for laughter. This forced the Arcadians to land farther at secondary landing sights just as the Master had wanted.

Twenty Miles from the Citadel of Time

The forest's leaves seemed to be on fire as troop started to patrol the area around the landing zone. Platoon TerrorClaw was walking over the silvery leaves of the forest when they started to hear something moving around.

"Did you hear that, Sarge?" asked Private Thomas Rector. Another soldier in the Arcadian Battlearmor spooked fired off a couple of blasts into a bush. The soldier looked into the bush only to find red yarn. "Oh this has got to be a joke," the soldier said.

The sergeant came over during the commodtion. His rank of three green bars was on the either side of the collar of his armor along with the right shoulder. Picking up the yarn with his right hand, the sergeant, he was about to report it to the landing zone when he turned to look at Private Rector who was holding something that was the size of a toddler with bright eyes and looked to be made of red yarn.

"Rector, what the hell is that thing?" screamed the sergeant. Rector was playing it since it was obviously cute, but then suddenly the creature opened its mouth and suddenly sharp teeth appeared. The creature giggling bit right through the armor surrounding the neck of Rector.

Blood spirited as the rest of the platoon just pulled out their rifles and shot at the creature. It was shredded. "By the Unfinished Book! That's just not natural," screamed a corporal. Pocking the inert body of the creature, the corporal then noticed surrounding them was more of the creatures.

And they all seemed to be growing meaner and more dangerous. The sergeant only got a brief message out before he was overcome by large vicious giggling creatures. "Ah da. . . ."

ChristKaiser III- Bay 3

Harlock had delivered the escape pod of Tagge as he was getting out of his mobile suit. That was when he was given a report by a young elvish ensign. He looked over the report. "This can't be right. Several patrols and even defensive Stalkers have been taken out by cute red creatures that turn into sixty foot tall beasts. Ensign Moonsparkle get my Empire Plus fighter ready for launch asap."

Harlock didn't wait to meet Tagge. Something was going on down on Gallifrey, and if his troops were in trouble, he'd be there.
As he launched along with a four guards, he was glad that wound from Molex had finally healed.

Arcadian Empire- Mining Colony of Liberty's Hammer

It was cold all the ANGEL Investigator could say. After interviewing some survivors, Walter Frank scanned the area. A group of ships appeared, and then released some sort of cloud of insects. Those in some sort of shelter survived while everyone else was taken. So far, there weren't any leads either.

Something was up, but there was little that could be done except continue to look for clues.

The attack of the Red Monsters forced a redeployment of the ground attack droid fighters.  The Hyenas continued to bomb the Citadel, but the HMPs, with their greater precision and superior loiter ability, diverted to the landing zones to help contain the Red menace.

The final landing ship to launch from the LucreHulks was different from the rest.  It was smaller, faster, more maneouverable, and contained only one heavy war machine, rather than the scores carried by the CC-9979s.  The small DropShip shot past the slower droid landers and made it to the surface just behind the first of the CC-9979s.  The spheroid DropShip landed opened its massive clam-shell cargo doors to reveal an avatar of devastation: A Highlander IIC.  After the Highlander disembarked, two neat lines of droids marched out, each ten units in length.  One line was composed of Dark Trooper Phase 3s while the other was made up of Droidekas.  The droids formed a defensive perimeter around the Highlander as it stomped towards the closest Red Monster.  The beast was easily dispatched by a barrage from the Highlander's three Medium Pulse Lasers.

"Droid units, form on me," General Scott Gurdel, commander of the Rasalhague Empire's droid ground forces ordered.  "We will meet these beasts in phalanx formation."

Yet another remote colony world ripe for the picking. The keen intellect of their leader analyzed the memories of thousands of captured citizens. Their worlds... Their knowledge... Was his. He would send their own now, as his emissaries. He would vanquish their fears, and commute their flesh to dust.

***

The wormholes opened again. This time, though, it was different. Instead of a fleet, a single spiked frigate emerged into space in orbit over another remote planet. And it hung there. Its turrets and hardpoints had been removed. Even the engines had been removed. It floated there, lifelessly.

Arcadia

Soren laughed and smiled while is assistant giggled lightly. They were at a local fast food restaurant, enjoying the simple facts of life. Their congregation was small, but growing. Everybody wanted an answer to their problems, after all.

"...Jump complete. Status?" Captin Veloythi asked of her bridge.

"Calculating co-ordinates." her navigational officer replied. "...Unknown? What?" she replied and looked back. "Captain, we're currently... lost."

"Lost... How? Jump successful." she muttered. "Cieldal, can you link into the commnet and see if anyone knows what's going on?" Veylothi addressed the A.I.

"Done." the AI said. Veylothi's hearing were filled with the confusion of the Captains of the 441st Zuria Expansion Fleet. The Admiral's voice cut through the confusion. "No, we don't know where we are. The Jump reported as completed, obviously we're alive and not dead, and don't have any hitchhikers. For now, the plan will proceed. We'll create a sphere of influence and do what we always do. Survive, Expand."

Veylothi nodded and disconnected, the crescendo of data and reports leaving her vision as well. "Form up with our Wing, and set to Ready Status." she ordered the First Mate.

"Yes ma'am!"

The one hundred fifty vessels of the 441st sat above the orbital plane of Steeles, and easily within sensor range.

"Planetary scan is complete... looks life on one of the inner worlds. Plenty of comm-traffic." Cieldal reported. The AI manifested itself in Veylothi's image as an elven women who was apparently not bound by the laws of physics as she flowed around the bridge.

"Orders coming in from the Admiral. Our wing is to enter LPO and observe." the comm officer looked back from his station. "Set a course."

"Aye aye!"

Gallifrey

Harlock and a wing of veritable fighters had entered the atmosphere to help the landing forces that were fighting now to just keep the landing zone. As he was about to bring up the guidance button for the fighter, a swarm of round balls ate one of his wingmen alive.

Another of the pilots screamed as his fighters was swirled as well. "By the Unfinished B . . .!" was all that was heard as the rest of turned to nothing but static.

Lord Harlock gave a simple order. "Scatter and run!"

He pushed his fighter into a quick escape pattern. There was nothing that he could do but run. The round balls were Toclafanes, but any way, he went it seemed that the balls filled the skies.

As a spiral of them closed in on him, he slowed down his fighter only to release several pods that covered the fighter in a cloud of sparkling crystals. As the swarm hit the cloud, the balls were ripped to shreds. Only after the cloud dissipated did the balls find nothing save for their destroyed brothers

Lord Harlock was escaping by hugging the ground, but the sprials followed him. And then as Harlock pulled up to avoid the Mountain of Solace and Solitude, his fighter was engulfed by the a spinning spiral.

ANGEL Base on the moon of Avatar above NeoArcadia

The headquarters of ANGEL was a madhouse. Agents were running as reports of more attacks on outer colonies came in. There were riots and demonstration on other worlds other than NeoArcadia. And now there was a derelict ship over another one.

However, the worst aspect was that ANGEL itself was being torn apart as was the military by the word of Samantha.

"I can't believe that we are being ordered out at this time of day," whined Ozai Harlock. The son of Harlock and one of his former mistresses really hating being up before dawn. The other children had already been taken down to the old yacht the Last Son.

Greed escorted the Imperial household out of Fortress Arcadia and Arcadia City. They were to be taken to a safer place to protect the children in case of the worst scenario.

"Just get into the ship, junior," ordered Greed.

The Panopticon, Gallifrey

Harlock awoke to see a figure. "Oh so he finally awakes," said the Master. "You know its taken intricate timing on my part for several years to bring you here, Emperor of the Arcadian Empire." Then the Master laughed as Harlock realized that he was strapped to a machine that restrained his arms and legs behind him.

"This was all to get me, but why?" asked Lord Harlock who was still drowsy. All he could remember was metallic spheres filling his visions as laughs screamed into his mind. "To do this," said the Master.

The Master then plunged a needle along with some sort of hose attached to the end into Lord Harlock's back and then he started to drain red coppery fluid out of Lord Harlock. "I needed your blood fresh."

As the building shook from bombings, the Master laughed. "When I have enough, I'll have the final ingredient that I need for true immortality."

The salvage crew would have found nothing of useful technology. The engines, weapons, and power systems had been stripped from the hull. The only person on-board was one delirious woman from one of the vanished mining colonies. She had nothing to say, only whimpered and cowered in the corner of whatever room they put her in. Nothing useful could be gleaned from her. It was if her mind was completely gone.

Veylothi stared at her orders and groaned inwardly. "Gunnery, plot a drop course." she said in an almost exasperated manner. She reached over and tapped the holo display in front of her.

It was displaying the vital statistics of Steele I, a marginal world that wasn't the best of habitats for carbon based, oxygen breathing life but it would do.  A course of her ship appeared, along with other courses from the other three capital ships in her wing.

"Colonel, orders have come in. You're to drop and seize a small settlement on this rock they like to call a planet. Standard ROE applies. Don't blow anything up."

[OOC: I'm bored.]

A single wormhole opened in orbit over that same world. Energy and gravity crackled and distorted around it as something stabilized it. One got the impression they were looking into a deep, dark, almost starless space through it. Four of the same, spiked cruisers emerged from the hole, along with sixteen frigates. The same groups that had attacked a half dozen colonies now. They immediately launched the same electronic assault on all communications channels within the star system as dozens of dropships began to pour forth, darkening the skies.

"Unknown contacts have jumped in. Unknown Classification... Mass estimates suggest sixteen frigates... four cruisers!" the sensors officer bellowed from his station.

"Widespread jamming across electromagnetic spectrum. Localized communications disabled. FLEETCOMM still online."

"Unknowns have deployed multiple smaller vessels, destination is towards our outposts and major civilian centers."

"Command's on the line. Orders are to engage."

The bridge fell silent as Veloythi observed the sensors readings. "Well? Kill'em!" she growled. "Focus the smaller dropships first. Start our screamers to get theirs to shut up, and let's get stuck in!" Veylothi roared over the bridge officers issuing orders.

The ship designated as 441-SCD-226 was a Lancer class Destroyer, a super-capital considered on the small side of the home universe of the Zuria Empire. Measuring in at three point one kilometers, the ship boasted multiple plasma torpedoes, heavy mass drivers and a blistering point-defense array. The kind that handily told bombers and fighters where and what to do to themselves. That wasn't the vessel's true strength.

The mass drivers started their characteristic slams, vibrating the hull, and in the bridge, was reminiscent of a blacksmith's forge, the peels audible to those inside the vessel but silent outside. Their sole 'report' was the flashes of lightning that radiated out from each twin barreled turret. The Lancer's sides opened as well, armored doors pulling back to create room for spheres of plasma which silently launched and streaked towards their targets.

Small point defense turrets popped open, hidden by recesses in the armor and locked onto the descending dropships. Each twin rotary mount fired a kinetic-kill directed energy weapon. The end result was effectively being hit by graviton beams, enough to stress a ship upon passing but on impact would force the craft wildly out of control. At the extreme ranges and atmospheric distances involved, roughly half of the dropships were hit and either outright destroyed or knocked wildly off course to burn in the atmosphere from the four Destroyers' point defense batteries.

"Targets engaged, let's see what they got." Veylothi muttered to herself.

Of the dropships that were hit, roughly a dozen were outright destroyed. Another half dozen spiraled out of control, burning as their engines and shields failed, spreading debris and corpses across kilometers of landscape. Those that weren't actually damaged but merely out of control adjusted, some remote intelligence adjusting for damage and drift, and they resumed course, speeding toward population centers. Behind the wormhole, a dark intelligence stirred. DROPSHIP WINGS FOUR, SIX, EIGHT DISABLED OR DESTROYED. REMAINING WINGS RESUMING COURSE. DEPLOY WINGS TWELVE THROUGH TWENTY FOUR. It began uploading dozens of replicating computer viruses into any unprotected computer systems in the local area, subverting code, ground defences, and anything else it could intrude and infect, before turning to anything with firewalls and defenses.

The sixteen frigates sped into motion. They accelerated to their maximum speed of just under a kilometer per second in about four seconds, though three were struck and instantly destroyed by enemy weapons fire, spewing crew and debris into space. One of the cruisers met the same fate, shattering into hundreds of pieces. The other three accelerated as quickly as the frigates toward the aggressors, meeting their maximum speed of four hundred meters per second quickly. A second identical wing emerged, accompanied by four dozen more dropships.

On the ground, the Infantry of the 441-SCD-226 were camped out in a rough area when they heard the screaming of drop-ships ON FIRE overhead, along with orders coming down on tight-beam communications. Combined with the screeching in their ears from the viral attacks, they prepared for war.

Meanwhile, local orbit became chaos as battle was engaged, the four Lancers splitting up to engage on multiple fronts. While nowhere near as quick as one of the unknowns, they were quite maneuverable, and used this to their advantage, making hard burns to attempt to catch the enemy ships in cross-fires capable of knocking out their opponents.

Veylothi stared at the tactical displays while Cieldal flowed around the console in Veylothi's vision. "Our weapons are particularly effective. I am guessing their weapons have a much smaller engagement envelop."

"Yeah but that doesn't mean we can get cocky."

The ships halted directly over population centers, and the hold doors opened. The nanites poured forth into the atmosphere.

***

The initial wave of ships now numbered only a cruiser and three frigates, but the entire second wing accelerated to full speed... And vanished. The first wave began to weave back and forht, hoping to avoid the incoming fire. The second wave landed about six AU away at another planet in about 30 seconds, and within ten more, ahd re-aligned. All in all, they had changed vectors and were re-approaching the battlefield in about seventy seconds using theirr warp drives. Their LZ would drop them right in the midst of the enemy fleet, even though each ship was easily ten times their cruiser's size. Probably fifteen.

"Incoming Superluminal vessels. Looks like the second wave." Cieldal muttered as she made the bridge disappear in Veylothi's eyes, and directed her attention via the ship's sensors to the targets.

"Oh. OH." Veylothi muttered as she examined the field. She opened a channel to the other captains. "Hey, let's drop our torps here." She declared, her vision zooming out to show the area through the combined ships' sensors.

The Lancers fired their torpedoes in a perfect formation. Each unknown ship would find themselves a present upon returning to real-space, namely a plasma torpedo with their name on it. Veylothi turned her attention, watching the four Lancers sweep away the remaining resistance.

"...Hey, are those friendly?" one Infantryman poked another and then pointed to the sky. The dropship hovered above them.

"...No." the Heavy Weapons Officer muttered and hefted his missile launcher and pointed it to the sky. "Orders are to protect the locals, despite how poorly negotiations are going." the Officer reminded the soldier. Said negotiations had a police officer shoot an Infantryman. The bullet predictably bounced off his firefight plating but the return shot had a mass driver slug punch through the man's stomach and spray whoknowswhat out the back. A medic was tending to him but there was no real way to determine if the poor public servant would live.

"...What the... Environmental hazards, what the hell?" the platoon leader blurted.

The dropships began to scoop the civilians hapless enough to be caught in the open as the massive, block-like dropships hung in place. They seemed oblivious to the ground soldiers as clouds of nanites poured forth, darkening the skies where they gathered thick enough. So far, not a single groupd troop was deployed. Thousands of other citizens began to march, screaming, to the pickup zones.

***

A decent proportion of the second wave exploded on contact, though inaccuracies within teh warp drives dropped most of the fleet kilometers away from the nearest warhead. The remaining frigates latched onto the nearest destroyer, screaming into a tight, five kilometer orbit. Filaments of energy formed from the space around the Lancer as they activated their webifiers, cutting its speed to fractions. The two remaining cruisers began to focus pulse laser fire on it from twenty kilometers, orbiting about five hundred meters per second.

"Oh. That's bad."

"No Sh--"

"All teams. Let'em have it!" The weapons officer didn't hesitate. Taking aim, he dropped the beetlehull in his sights... and zoomed in on an opening. Squeezing the trigger, the missile slid out of the tube, fired a small motor then fired an afterburner. The heavy missile screamed into the dropship, narrowly missing several people.

"Oh this is going to be fun to clean up." he muttered

****

The Lancer that was surrounded tried to pull away. The heavy cannons mounted on the turrets had too much trouble tracking the enemy ship, so it was up to the Point Defense Guns to try and fend off their attacks. Armor sloughed off, creating red clouds of crystallized armor surrounded the beleaguered ship.

"Dammit, give me a shot!" Veylothi yelled at her gunnery officer.

"Trying ma'am but its the size of the Lancer that's causing the problem. I'll try and flay them with our own point defense guns!"

The wounded Lancer's engines flared, the engine trails becoming even almost blinding as it attempted to pull away from its assailants.

General Gurdel and his droid army were making solid head-way against the Red Menace, but they were running out of ammunition.

"Fall back to the landers," Gurdel ordered.  He didn't bother specifying that they should maintain ordered lines because battle droids would always strive to do so.  Knowing no fear, droids never lost their nerve and broke.  Gurdel used his last round of Gauss Rifle ammunition to gut one Red Monster, shatter the ribs of a second with a blancing hit, and tear the leg off a third before the nickel-iron ball buried itself in the dirt.  His last round of Streak SRM ammunition similarly eviscerated a fourth Monster.  He was down to pulse lasers to get him back to the landers and the Red Monsters had decided to focus upon him.

The Red Monsters destroyed the Dark Troopers and Droidekas supporting General Gurdel and encircled him.  Their shrill voices taunted him and brought back memories of nightmares he had back in his sibko.  The Monsters began to close in tighter, readying for the kill.  Gurdel methodically attempted to free himself by killing one Monster after another with his Pulse Lasers, but more kept joining the circle.  Just as he was making his final peace with himself by swearing at every deity humans had ever come up with, Gurdel heard comm chatter from his droids that left him puzzle.

"Hey!  What's that up in the sky?" the droid commander of one AAT asked.

"Is it a bird?" the commander of another tank replied.

"No.  It must be a starfighter," the first droid dismissed.

"Whatever it is, my sensors say it's packing more energy than a run-away replsor train," the second droid observed.

"And with that trajectory, ir's not smarter than a bullet," the first droid added dismissively.

Gurdel was too busy to yell at the droids to cut the chatter because he was fighting for his life.  Then a blue and red streak swept away the Red Monsters between Gurdel and friendly lines, allowing him to make a break for it.  As he made his escape, Gurdel spotted a small, furry, blue biped with a red cape hovering above the battlefield and holding over a dozen Red Monsters above himself with one hand.

"And I'm cute, too," the furry blue creature said before hurling his handful of Red Monsters over the horizon.  Then he went down for another load, and another, until all of the Red Monsters had been flung so far from the battlefield that they had no hope of getting back in time to affect the outcome, if they survived at all.

"All units, rearm and reform for renewed assault!" General Gurdel roared triumphantly.

"Sir, we may have a problem," the droid captain of one of the CC-9979s radioed Gurdel.  "A whole bunch of ugly metal ball things has taken out our Hyena support and chased off our gunships."

The interior of the dropship exploded with fire, and the explosion left a massive exit wound on the upper hull. Citizens being scooped by its gravity lift suddenly found themselves falling as it listed to one side and crashed through several blocks before coming to a rest amidst a cloud of dust and debris. For a moment, all was quiet. Then, as one, every subverted man, woman, and child turned toward the fire team, and began lifting up the nearest rock, pole, or sharp object. They charged as one, their terrified heads screaming for mercy and help even as their bodies betrayed them. In the wreckage of the downed dropship, six naked, heavily augmented humans emerged, though naked wasn't a good word. Most of their flesh was replaced by armor and tubing, heavily augmented by implants. Each one had a small pulse laser fitted to their right arm. They began a brisk march toward the fire team, even though they were still a kilometer away. One soldier, towering above them at nearly three meters tall, followed in its beetle-like gold armor, wielding a massive, humming rifle.

The other dropships, full of their cargo, closed the doors, and began liftoff immediately as any citizens they didn't have room for turned on the aggressors in the environmental suits.

ADAPTING TACTICS.

DROPSHIPS RETURNING.

WING FOUR HAS BEEN LOST.

EIGHTY THOUSAND SOULS COLLECTED.

A new wing of ships emerged from the wormhole to cover the dropship's retreat, though this one hung back and began orbiting instead of joining the battle fifty thousand kilometers away. Then, a single, much larger ship emerged. The battleship was only five hundred meters long, but nearly a kilometer tall. It consisted of three egg-shaped nodules stacked vertically, flat edge to flat edge. The topmost had a decoration of dorsal spikes. Its four laser turrets glowed with energy as it took up a position over the wormhole. Citizen RedGalaxy01 felt the power of the ship course through his body and mind. It was his body and mind. He was the ship. He broadcast one message across every local channel. "Strength in unity."

The point defenses found they had little issue tracking and smashing the frigates. They didn't have much armor or shields, and soon, space was filled with debris from bodies, wreckage, and explosions. The cruisers, though, continued to pour pulse laser fire over the hull of the ship, determined to cut it to pieces. One exploded as a shell from an adjacent destroyer struck it midships, cutting it clean in half. One of the frigates suddenly turned toward the Lancer it had attacked, and rammed into it at its full speed, despite the fact it was significantly smaller than the larger ship. There were only one cruiser and five frigates remaining in the wing.
I've heard that US freight trains move 1 ton of cargo 435 miles on 1 gallon of gas. I think this means we should all become hobos.
