mekhq questin regarding meklab

is there a way to make meklab show more advanced items other than standard stuff? what i mean liquid guns snubbed nosed ppc special types of armor etc wings for extended jump
i cannot seem to get any of that at all to show in the equipment tab.
you sure cannot out run death...but sure as hell you can make that bastard work for it!

Adjust the date of your design and select UNOFFICIAL.

If he's doing it inside MHQ like it sounds, it's limited by game year if that option is on

i did change year date to 3085 cant seem to get nothing past basics and even unofficial design
as i understand stuff is available per year/era but even when i moved the date to 3100 i only get basic stuff anyway(using 3.17 mekhq)

The techlevel also needs to be appropriate.

In the campaign options; under the tech limits tab, make sure the limit by year and the disallow extinct boxes are unchecked, if you are not trying to be era specific. 
 
I've never taken it to "unofficial", but "experimental" has always been sufficient in my games.  However, I also try to be era specific, soooooooo....
