MechWarrior IV Mercenaries had this "Quad Panzer" vehicle that sported quad large pulse lasers in a turret. Nasty, but not really doable in tabletop BattleTech. But it can be approximated by using twin LPLs and twin MPLs, though this requires rather large chassis in order to fit the lasers and armor without using an XL engine. Picked 80 tons, with 240-rated fusion engine for 3/5 movement curve, the engine is rather common after all.
Armament is, as noted, turret-mounted twin large pulse lasers and twin medium pulse lasers. Limited range, but might be nasty in urban terrain.
Armor might be a bit overkill at 12.5 tons but i didn't really want to go overboard with extra equipment. I left that for an upgrade.

Pulse lasers being what they are, i figured a modified design might be in order.
Lasers are now twin ER large lasers and twin medium lasers, tied to a targeting computer. A Guardian ECM and a C3 slave add extra utility. Armor is also upgraded to ferro-fibrous.
Perhaps a bit low damage output for an 80-ton tank but being free of ammo has its perks.

Well, the Ontos has shown that many lasers can have a charm of their own.
That said, once you get to the modern times, why not buy a few chemicals?
2 regular LLs, 2 with an ammo feed. Still good endurance, I think.

Not a bad idea, but since the original unit is from MW4 and that's set circa the Civil War, chems weren't an option.
That said, let's say the unit survives into the Dark Age and gets upgraded.
This is probably a Lyran or FedSuns unit, let's go with the latter.
So, the upgrade uses a pair of Re-Engineered Lasers and a pair of Large Chemical Lasers with two tons of ammo each (20 shots. TarComp (Spheroid-make) makes all weapons more accurate (so RELs are at -2 now), CASE (IS) is added just in case and armor is now heavy-ferro to free mass for the upgrades. Oh, and an XL-engine, but this is the Dark Age so whatever.

Nice idea, great for base defense. Very slow, so it would not fit with Clan mobile warfare strategy, maybe something for second-line troops or similar?
How would it work at 50 tons, 2 CLPL, and 1 AMS per? You'd need 3 tons of Targeting Computer each (total 6 tons vs 5), a pair of ECM (2 tons vs 1), but the weight savings in the engine and only needing 10 extra heat sinks might help (engine provides 10, and the energy weapons only produce 20 heat total). You might be able to add extra armor, or get it up to 3/5.
Give them to solahma units to protect a supply base from air or infantry attack. If they see something suspicious, shoot at it. If it returns fire, it is hostile.
