I guess the ships that use the newer weapons can't be used because of the custom weapons.

I think that's something i will request for Megamek. Recognizing custom weapons, since it's a thing. HMA files should be you drop in there and it works.

Oh and good news!

Delranes 3061 2nd Edition is now being worked on. The proof reading is all done, and its being put onto a PDF now. This will include the WarShips of the Great Houses as well as a wide range of non-canon WarShips and Small Craft.
The books format will also be re-done so its in landscape instead of portrait and have other layout changes to let you see the art better amongst other things. This could take some time as trying to get it all to fit and look neat is a tad fiddly to say the least. But we'll try getting it out as quickly as we can!

First off gotta say...Love the new art and fluff nice job!

For new weapons we would need to add them to the base code. Truthfully we try an avoid adding custom weapons and equipment since it requires support to maintain them. They also often generate bug reports and player questions we aren't able to easily answer.

What about making versions with canon weapons? If they had canon weapons I would be more than happy to work up the MegaMek files for them and include them in the releases. Heck with your permission I would even include the art and link them as well.

I should also add we are working on a Large Craft editor. Currently its in the beta stages for Small craft and Dropships. JS/WS/SS support will be added over the next few months.

I would if I could. Some are pretty easy transitions, such as light repeating n-gauss -> Heavy N-Gauss, or naval pulse lasers directly to naval lasers. But some are canon pieces of equipment that are simply too new for HMA to have built into the system, so the weapons have to be custom when that program is used, if/when warships are build-able in MM, I'll probably start using it, but for now I am limited to what I have available.

Ok, sounds like we are going to be starting into the JS/WS/SS editor in the just couple of weeks. Once we have it far enough long I'll let you know. Perhaps you can help us beta test it.

What about the Warship calculator someone made? It more update than HMA. I wish Mega was able accept inputs.

I know that custom weapons are difficult to do. HM at heard allowed for that to be done.

So true, to reduce issues I have recently been deliberately designing 'prototypes/upgrade' variants that use canon equipment.

You going try do the Warships we never seen before? Like the Pengrine (Jade Falcon), Molniya (Clan Wolf), and the Corone [warship, not the beer] (Snow Ravens)?

Nope its a mix of House ships and non-canon vessels. Namely the ships from TRO:3057 as, like the Clan vessels, most of the House ones looks like dogs eggs.

Good news folks!

Baring the Table of Contents being finished off and maybe a splash page done...we're good to go and Delranes Fighting Ships Second Edition should be done by tomorrow and available to download then! It will be on dropbox for download some time tomorrow after 1600 UK time so AM for most of you lot.

Well this is the updated version, but we are slowly working on a new one and this will include all new stuff. With luck it'll be done towards xmas.
