Deadborder's Crappy Colourisations
« on: 26 January 2011, 03:15:44 »
Since they are/were a trend, I figured I'd made a thread for the coloured TRO artwork that I've done so far.

A larget version of the AS7-K2 Atlas I'm using for my current avatar. While some don't like the art, I'm rather fond of it myself. As for the, uh, unusual colour sceme, well, if you know the origns of my Username, you'd understand.

More to come when I get to it.

I like the scheme, but it's so dark it washes out all the detail lines.
That's it! Challenge the Clans to rock-paper-scissors in 3050! A good portion of the 'Mechs didn't have hands so the Inner Sphere would win!
If I had a nickel for every time I've legged a Warhammer, I could put them in a sock, spin it around and leg another Warhammer.

Thanks for that. I'll lighten it up a little.

As a question, does anyone have a good scan of the CRD-8S Crusader art from TRO PP that they could lend a guy? my scanner is deader than the Black Thorns right now.

You might want to check out the PP Mech images at PRI (http://www.pryderockindustries.com/graphics.php#Mechs).

And now, after an eternity of waiting, we have #2, which was done as a favour to a friend. They chose the colours, and I laughed. And laughed.

A mechwarrior walks down the street in that mech, people know that he or she isn't afraid of anything.

Nice coloring job.

After a shockingly short time - most of which consisted of me swearing becuse I screwed it up at 99% completion - I have a new one!

"Grace", the Phoenix Hawk IIC used by "Gunsligner" Andrzej Slawski in the fanfic A Brighter Future and a Better Life. Once again, we have an... eccentric colour scheme. Enjoy!

And yes, this is a way of procrastinating rather than working on actual fic.

I use GiMP, which is a pretty easy-to-use free graphics program. The process is long and ardous, but works pretty well... as long as you don't screw up at 99% completion.

The secret is to save every 2 or three minutes. The only this I can say about your pics is that I would have rather seen the original Atlas instead of the Atlas 2. But great work. . . Oh and the Timberwolf pilots name is Sue. . . He is one tough SOB.
Well I was thinking of starting over. I didn't mean this.

For a slight change of stylistic pace, some of Dave White's utterly awesome Mechwarrior 4 concept art

This is "Knightmare", the Black Knight used by engimatic Band of Five Mechwarrior TF Allen in some of my fics. The colour scheme is as close as I could match to the Bannson's Raiders standard with some experimental adding of extra detailing and insingias

The BK out of Black Knight for MW4, nice.  Ugly and deadly and thus beautiful in its own way.

And a second version of "Knightmare", meant to represent Allen as an independant gunslinger. I did it mainly for fun; wheather or not I use this version is another matter.
