How powerplay would it be?

To put gun trailers behind an Enyo Strike Tank XR according to sarna they have the trailer_hitch quirk.
like this voor example?

Firstly, I'd check the actual TRO before assuming that Sarna is right. It probably is(just about every vee in that TRO got the hitch), but don't assume so.

Looking at the actual combo...not bad. You slow down, but not enough that your TMM drops. In AS tractors don't block the firing arcs of trailers(and vice versa), so it's alloys all around firepower, with the benefit of being split into two different to-hit rolls and damage chunks. I especially like the idea of being able to drop the trailer if I choose in order to provide area denial while the tank moves off to fight elsewhere. On the downside, neither unit is exceptionally durable, so the combo can be negated by destroying one or the other unit. Also, the trailer being wheeled does limit this pair from entering certain terrain that the tank could enter alone.

I like the idea, it's solid, but I wouldn't call it powergaming or munchkinism. For one thing, I think a hardcore min-max player would see 40 points'worth of combat unit that runs into real trouble after only taking for damage, and would probably turn instead to a single unit with seven armor on one card.

The main downside is it hinges on getting HTC on the Enyo via a quirk.  That in turn means getting your opponent to agree to using quirks... and that opens up a whole world of worms.  Putting a trailer on the Enyo is pretty tame compared to what else is possible once you introduce Quirks into the game ;)

Yeah we just house rule that if its a wheeled vehicle it can tow stuff. I mean really if you want to get technical. Pick it up with a mech and carry it around and set it down when you want to fire it. There are all sorts of ways to make people go :| if they wanna be real sticklers about something so minor.

You don't even need the quirk.  The dragging rules operate identically to towing in this instance.  Really the only downside is the ease of the trailer dying to long range fire the moment the truck eats a hard hit (0" movement means it gains the -4 immobile modifier).

I say hitch two trailers together and then have a Charger use them as Nunchucks.
