layer Inflation VS Unit Inflation
« on: 03 June 2014, 11:27:26 »

In playing a few more games of AS, I noticed that what slows play more is the number of players, rather than the number of figs. Believe it or not.

At our store, we tend to play mini games as multi-player events and we had five players running a company vs. company game.  It lasted about four hours and that was a bit long. Previous games of that size had half that number of players took about 3 hours, sometimes less if we used lance activation.
"New players, regardless of age, need to know two things about a wargame. How to blow stuff up and what faction is painted in his favorite color. All the rest can come later when they are hooked." -- A.G.
"But the problem is that it seems to have been made by someone who equates complication with complexity, and that just ain't so." -- iamfanboy
