Mercs v. WoBM (Pic Heavy)
« on: 15 June 2014, 15:38:03 »
My group continued our Total Chaos campaign and I have some time to upload some photos.  We had Cumberland's Missiliers and Sorenson's Sabres against the Word of Blake Militia.  Because of the size of the engagement, we used Alpha Strike rules.  The point value was about 415 on each side.

Cumberland's Missiliers (Veteran)
-Command Lance: Viking, Archer, Bandersnatch, Raven
-Fire Lance: Salamander, Thor, Thunderbolt,
-Support Lance: HLRM Carrier, HLRM Carrier, Ontos (3058), Ontos (3058)

Sorenson's Sabres (Veteran)
-Command Lance: Black Hawk KU, Jenner, Grand Dragon, Huncback
-Fire Support Lance: Avatar, Avatar, Hatamoto, Panther
-Recon Lance: Mongoose, Venom, Raptor, Whitworth

Word of Blake Militia (Veteran)
-Command Level II: Grand Titan, Toyama, Thunderbolt, Buccaneer, Blackjack Omni, Initiate
-Striker Level II: Lancelot, Kintaro, Apollo, Puma Assault Tank, Burke, Burke
-Support Level II:  Demon, Demon, Magi, Purifier Squad, Phalanx Squad

Fun game and it lasted about 4 hours.  I played the WoBM.  I was able to force many of the mechs to withdraw but I was overwhelmed by indirect and long range fire and ultimately unable to withstand the withering assault.

Would you mind listing your variants you used for furture reference if you remember. I am most interested in which variant the Kintaro was.

Either way nice battle and go WOB.

Thanks for the compliments. The Kintaro was a KTO-21, the standard WoBM design produced on Mars.

Sweet! Nice paint jobs and terrain.

Wow! Those are some great minis, and really nice terrain. What did you use for those apartment towers?

Just as I thought. The mech has three inarc bins, did you use three different types of inarc pods by chance? Or which pods did you use and the success rate?

Where did you get the pine trees from?

I purchased the buildings on ebay, I think most of them are from JR Miniatures before they closed up shop.

The pine trees are from Micheal's from their Christmas isle.

We used Alpha Strike rules, so the Kintaro's iNarc didn't play any role in the game since he was mostly trying to do as much damage as he could to stop the mercs from advancing.  But I like to use haywire pods when I can.  ;)
