If I were interested enough to find out on my own, I would have.  I was just making small talk.

Carry on.

AWESOME.

Are you saying my mom is prolific, Rorke?

Dear boy, a gentleman would never cast such aspersions about another chaps mother.  Not even in a lounge bar after a good few pints.

One of my pet hates that whole denigration of a chaps mother.  Besides if your mother had been "especially blessed" with yourself and multiple other offspring, there are far more polite ways of expressing it do you not think?  ;)

and yes i know you're being facetious, so am i :)

Actually, there have been AFFSHC threads reaching 100 pages and being closed since ca.2002 I've lost count of how many there have been - Geoff might know.

It's into the 20s. Mind you, the longest thread in CBT history (IIRC), was our 400-pager: The Thread to End All Threads; the UberThread; the Thready Embodiment of the Might of the Fatherland; The Threadlord; the Take 'em Out to the Thread and Beat 'em Thread; Threadhalla, the Pinnacle to Which All Lesser Threads Aspire; Threadri-La; if it were an elected official, it would be Threasident; Threadosaurus Rex; Threaximus Decimus Meridius. Yeah.

Good to hear Edward! also, were you not complaining about the cool temperatures we were recently afflicted with? I blame you for this midsummer-esque heat wave I had to work in today.

Glad to hear it Ed.

Boy.  We've had an order drop and slow down at work.  I worked monday and tuesday, and about an hour and a half thursday, (took 8hrs vacation so I had about 26hrs - enough to make ends meet).  This monday, with all the 3rd shift folks that got moved to our shift, my supervisor had extras and gave me first choice, so another day off.  Then Tuesday, they have a machine go down and call us all to say don't come in (I didn't even get a call the 2 days in Feb that they shut down).  I've basically had a week's vacation.  Its been so long, I may need retraining when I go back tomorrow.  ;D

In the game, my understanding is that Geoff plays a Native American killing machine.

I was just messing the chap about, same as he did to me.  :)

Besides i've managed to avoid fights for over twenty years, purely through fancy word play and an ability to communicate the potential for ultra violence by staring fiercely.  It's a gift.

It wasn't lost on me Rorke.  I may play a bloodthirsty savage, but I'm not usually like that in real life.  Except on Tuesday.  Tuesday is always a Go Day.

And occasionally Saturday and perhaps a Friday or two, but only if it's preceded by a Monday or Wednesday.  Other than that, I'm perfectly sane and reasonable.  Mostly.

I completely understand.  I've avoided most fights for about *checks watch* six to seven hours now but really, who doesn't have a warface?  I've often found the sight of a laughing maniacal hillbilly to do wonders for an intense situation.  Well, that and a willingness to resort to extreme violence at the drop of a hat.   }:)

I avoid fights by being an excellent runner.

Speaking of, I'm down to 6:40 for my normal mile time, and my usual run is now three miles at 6:40 and one at 5:59.

Those are some pretty impressive stats Edward.  I haven't ran distance runs like that since my Cross Country days so I'm somewhat envious of you for them,  but good on you all the same.

I'm fully aware of that.  I was referring to the new boards, specifically.  Seems that in addition to being the most professional military in the Inner Sphere, we're also the chattiest.
That free exchange of information (even if it's bad) and ideas is what allows us to maintain military prowess
