And in other news, Team EvilClan Smoke Jaguar defeated the freebirths of the DCMS last night.  MVP award to Moonsword's Nova, the toughest Nova I think I've ever seen.  BlackAce's sacrificial lambs did well, 4 of his 5 losing limbs, but setting up the Jags for Sarcasmo's stunning flanking maneuver.  Sarcasmo nearly turned the tide, as he critted and destroyed my Warhawk's gyro via TACs.

The quick deaths of the Dragon and Catapult sealed the fate of the DCMS. Not quick as in turns, but in damage absorption. The headcap of the Catapult sealed the deal, as it were.

Yea, As much fun as the K1 Catapult is, I had totally forgotten it had no jump jets...
Sucks to hear we couldn't pull out the win. Not surprised, I like 12-5 odds when facing Clanners, at least using initial invasion designs.

12-5 3025 v. Clan, 8-5 3050 v. Clan, and 12-10 3055+ v. Clan are fairly good benchmarks, IMO.

Why's that? I almost always played as IS versus Clan for a many a year.

My heavy lance was running 3025 only, Jayce's was upgraded but mixed weight. The Jag star was mixed with 3 Stormcrows, a Nova and a Warhawk. It was a good fight, and we did end up getting a few lucky floating crits on the Warhawk, but he managed to hold up my entire lance. 4/6 was just to slow for that flanking maneuver, the Jags did the right thing by ignoring me and tearing apart Jayce, only ( I assume) to come back and face my former lance in full.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  I don't consider myself to have much of anything in the way of artistic talent, but I guess my patience and ability to focus made up for it here.

Yes, and then we tore it apart thanks to good numbers.  However, for the record, there was only one Stormcrow, a C.  The other two 'Mechs were a Shadow Cat Prime and a Cauldron-Born A.

I still don't know how the heck that Nova A survived with literally no armor on the front torso or the head for two rounds of fire.

If I had to guess, I'd blame the fact that when I originally rolled the Star of Jaguar 'Mechs on the ER3052 RAT, it came up four Stormcrows and a Timber Wolf.

Seems like a good Jag force to me.  :)

I thought they mostly used Vultures, rather than Mad Cats?

Man, can you imagine what a let down that'd be? "Congrats, Star Colonel! You've murdered four men in your trial of position, now you command the XIVth Jaguar Striker Cluster (Kerensky's Burning Urethra)! Discard that silly old Ryoken, here's your brand new...wait for it...Vulture!"

The Jags used Myst Lynx, Stormcrows, Mad Dogs, Warhawks, and Dire Wolves for the most part.  The oddball Timber Wolf wouldnt be to far of a stretch considering they didnt get along with Clan Wolf and shared some worlds with them in the Kerensky cluster.  Plus dont forget one of the most famous(infamous?) Jags piloted a Timber Wolf.

And yuck.  A Mad Dog for a Stormcrow?  Very rarely, if ever, would I go for that trade.  Id be declaring a Trial of Refusal ASAP.

"Kerensky's Burning Urethra" sounds like a plausible oath in Clan space.
"Lord Kurita is merciful.  You will be spared the humiliation of a trial.  Instead, you are invited to dine with your sainted ancestors.  You don't follow?  Let me rephrase.  I am about to run you through with my sword.  Now you get the picture?  Good."

Why don't we have an equivalent oath?  "George Washington's genital warts, I got jury duty again!"

Even with the purchasing ban now in force, I have the following 1/72 Spitfires to build: MkI, MkIa, MkIIa, MkVb, MkVc, MkVI HF, 2xMkVIII, 2x MkIX, MkXII, 4xMkXIV, F.22, F.24, 2xSeafire IIc, Seafire III, Seafang. Really sad I didn't manage to get a MkXVIII or F.21 before the ban took effect. I also have a Ju88A4, Do17E, Do17Z, Bf109E4, Bf109G6, FW190D9, Mustang III, Typhoon I, Ki43-I, Ki-43-II, A6M2, B5N2, D3A1, Blenheim IV, Martin-Baker MB5, 2xHurricane I, 2xHurricane IIc, 2xHurricane IIb, Mosquito FB.VI, Hudson I, PZL 11c, Martlet II, Wildcat VI, Tarpon II, 2xCorsair II, and Hellcat I.

Hmm.. interesting and nice list of planes. My first plane was an Spit Mk V from Airfix in 1/72. The decals and the cockpit were hellish. If you need any help just ask for it!
