I was thinking about the Rasalhague Dominion military and noticed that they don't seemingly have IS Omnis really. Of course, they do primarily utilize Clan-tech but i think there could be a place for Inner Sphere spec Omni there. Maybe as a second-line unit as a budget unit for lesser frontline units.
The name may not be quite Ghost Bear-ish, but shamans have been part of Finnish paganism, and bears were important in that as well, and Rasalhague has people descending from Finns, i figure it fits in roundabout way. (Besides, i'm a Finn, so why not.)
The basic design is intended to be trooper, perhaps even replacing older Spheroid mediums in service. You know, "one chassis for all", though this idea never seems to work in practice even with OmniMechs.
The weight (55 tons), mobility (5/8), endo-steel layout, and armor layout were all based on the Stooping Hawk. But where the Stooping Hawk uses an SFE and standard gyro, the Shaman has light fusion engine and heavy-duty gyro. Perhaps not necessary, but since i'm thinking this as 3090 design, i think "new tech" construction is fitting. (Yes, armored gyro would be arguably better. But component armoring is arguably more complex, and rarer, than HD gyros, so it is a logistical matter.)
The configurations range from mundane to somewhat weird perhaps. Note that my choice of 3090 as introduction year is deliberate, good time for "new tech syndrome", but i think i tried to use it smartly here.
The first three configurations, Prime, A and B are based on the 55-ton trio, the Wolverine, Shadow Hawk and Griffin, respectively. They aren't direct copies, but close overall, with some changes such as the Prime carrying a Retractable Blade.
The C is based on the Nova (Black Hawk), with mix of medium and small X-pulse lasers, jump capability, and a coolant pod for some extra cooling. It is intended to carry Battle Armor and support them.
The D config is something of a generalist with large X-pulse laser and MML-7, along with supercharger and Angel ECM.
The E stands for "extended", since it has ELRM-15. ER medium lasers cover the minimum range.
The F works either as a scout or as urban combatant with its Bloodhound Active Probe. Weaponry is suited for killing infantry, Battle Armor and light vehicles, while a Chaff Pod gives some extra defense.
The G configuration is a weird indirect fire support 'Mech with single Mech Mortar 4. An ER large laser gives some additional ranged punch, and an AMS is there to annoy missile 'Mechs.
Finally, the R configuration is a mixed tech config, partially based on the Prime and B configs. I regard it as a Clan-tech OmniPod test bed really: ER Large Pulse Laser isn't loved but works OK with Artemis V-enhanced LRM-10, and a Watchdog CEWS makes this a multi-role 'Mech.
