What mech weapons FEEL most primitive to you?

I think the most primitive weapon would be Rifle Cannons because of their -3 damage against BAR8+ Armor. If other weapons were as primitive, they'd also have the -3 damage.

Machine Guns are TL B and introduced Pre-Spaceflight.  You don't get much more primitive than that.

MGs don't suffer the -3 damage penalty. Neither do Tube Artillery which are also pre-spaceflight. The same is true for Fluid Guns, Vehicle Flamers, VGLs, 'Mech Mortars, and many industrial physical weapons. Even rocks and trees don't have their damage reduced. It's the Rifle Cannon that's so  primitive that it's damage is reduced against BAR8+ Armors.
