Tried running a search that didn't turn up anything. Nothing on Sarna either. What is this new beautiful Omnimech that IWM posted (plus record sheets too)? Where is it from? Can my Wolf Empire run it?
-
its just the MWDA aesthetic version of the standard shadow cat Omni. would represent Shadow Cats built by the Nova Cats in the IS after moving into the Combine.

There are design changes from the original according to the record sheets.

Currently we have no info about it being three configs and art in the record sheet.
Logical assumption is that the Clan Nova Cat created it as a replacement/improvement to the Shadow Cat.
Speculation: Created after the Second Combine-Ghost Bear War as the Cats had rebuild their industry. Alternatively, around the same time as they build the Wendigo.

Pretty sure stuff released by IWM is official until CGL makes a record sheet.
The Shadow Cat III would've come from CGL, model just made by IWM.
They've previously released stuff like Thor II E config (a config originally cut from TRO3145), and a Pendragon variant described in TRO Prototypes but lacking a RS.

Fascinating. I didn't even know this existed.
Personally, I love the Dark Age Shadow Cat design. Glad to see it getting some recognition.

What sort of changes? Just equipment layout? There didn't seem to be any functional changes between the DA and CBT versions.

The Shadow Cat III has maxed armor, no fixed jump jets, no fixed Active Probe. Retains MASC and movement profile. No config has lower or hand actuators.
-
The big thing that strikes me is that it could still load any original Shadow Cat configuration, with the added bonus that you can swap out the jump jets
-
As long as you don't mind dropping the Active Probe, since the Shadow Cat III carries 1 ton more armor.
