In the end, The Battlemaster gets too hot, causing a shutdown and has its leg destroyed in the ensuing fire storm. Following that, the Unsluaghtered CO's Hunchback is destroyed, which prompts the 2 remaining mechwarriors to surrender to the Barnbusters. It's a hard fought victory.
AAR, Buck's Barnbusters:
Dear Valued Employer,
Pursuant to the combat action on August 11, 3059,
Acting upon confirmed intelligence and spotter reports, Bucks Barnbusters engaged a previously identified terrorist cell and a previously undiscovered mech garage. Expecting minimal resistance, it was our intention to crush the cell outright.
Upon entering the operational area with the Barnbuster’s heavy lance, 4 terrorist ‘Mechs were discovered to be guarding the garage, lead by a Battlemaster. Though this was far more resistance than expected, I personally gave the order to continue the assault.
The terrorists were engaged, flanked, and successfully overcome, at the cost of two Barnbuster pilots. All mech assets were recovered, though an enemy Longbow was completely devastated and the remaining parts of a enemy Hunchback was left for scrap. The captured commander gave no intel of significance, and was freely returned to Magliss Spirit security forces.
Through further investigation, whatever support the terrorists were receiving took the loss of millions of Cbills worth of equipment quite poorly. Though we will continue to keep an eye on previously identified potential hostiles, it seems the support base for continued insurrection has been well eliminated.
