Once upon a time, some Clan leader approached the scientists and techs and said "Build me a better
Marauder." So they did. And they created the
Marauder IIC and the leader saw that it was good.
It's not necessarily what canonically happened but it's the best story I have.
Anyway! In
Technical Readout: 3055, we got the first of the IIC 'Mechs. One of them was a revamp of the iconic
Marauder and it really was good. Maybe. It comes down to personal taste. If you'd like to form your own opinion, its
'Mech of the Week article is a good place to start.
Like the other IIC 'Mechs in TRO 3055, the
Marauder IIC joined the ranks of the Unseen, and then the Reseen with the release of
Technical Readout: Project Phoenix. And, like several of the Clan Unseen, it only has two sculpts, the Unseen one and the Reseen one.
