For those of us without MML, it would be helpful to know the weapon's stats.

And the ammo is 7 per ton, which is really good for ACs.  Because it has the same rough power as an AC20, but is lighter, less heat, and better ammo I am not a fan myself.  Its less 'attempt to make an ac/15 usable' and more 'if this AC/15 existed it's so good it would be an auto upgrade for every ac20 mech to take an ac15 and medium laser instead.'

Dang, who'd've thought averaging all the stats between the ac10 and ac20 would make a disgustingly effective weapon system.
Guns may be a right, but kneecaps are a privilege.

Well, consider that the AC/15 and AC/20 has the exact same BV - but the AC/15 is lighter, colder, and has more ammo/ton...

Is this weapon actually published anywhere?

You would think this is the kind of thing the Fed Suns would invest heavily in, before the rediscovery of the Gauss Rifle rendered it obsolete...

It's like the AC answer to the Blazer!

cheers,

Gabe
So, now I'm imagining people boxing up Overlords for loading as cargo.  "Nope, totally not a DropShip.  Everyone knows you can't fit a DropShip in a WarShip!  It's...a ten thousand ton box of marshmallows!  Yeah.  For the Heavy Guards big annual smores party."
--Arkansas Warrior, on the possibility of carrying Dropships as cargo in Warship cargo bays.

TERRAN SUPREMACY DEFENSE FORCE.  For when you want to send the SLDF, but couldn't afford the whole kit and kaboodle.

It’s an old MegaMek unofficial weapon.
NCKestrel’s new favorite.

A real pity, it just makes too much sense.

cheers,
