Lore: Developed originally in the Mydon system in the 3070s, the Mini Gauss Rifle and Light Gauss Rifle Served as a basis for Rotary Variants. Though weighing more in the case of the Rotary and Heavy Rotary Gauss rifles, they could fire up to six times the rate of a normal gauss rifle but the damage was dispersed over a larger area. Where the Mini Gauss Rifle by Inner Sphere annalists deemed the Mini Gauss Rifle to be a Autocannon 5 substitute. It is unknown which faction initially introduced these Gauss Rifle Variants but both Clan Watches and Inner Sphere Intelligence services as of 3152 are trying to figure out where the mercenaries using this tech got it from.

Gauss Carbine Family Lore: Developed during the late 3060s, the Gauss Carbine and It's Light and Heavy Variants were developed from full Sized Gauss Rifles. Having Shorter Overall Range for Lower Tonnage and Bulk. These Three weapons were also seen in use by the Mercenaries sent from the Mydon System, as of 3152 it is unknown who developed these but it is speculated to be the same team to develop the Mini Gauss Rifle and Rotary Gauss Rifle Familes.
