Question on visiting the IWM factory

If I'm going to be in the area and want to visit Iron Wind Metals in person, is there a procedure? Can I just show up at any time during their regular hours, or do I need to call ahead or something? Anything else I might be forgetting?

While I haven't done it myself, yet...you can just show up. Although a call ahead won't hurt, it's not really necessary. Cash is king and always appreciated too.

Technically, you don't need to call them or have any formalized process.  Just show up during business hours (I think it's M-F, 10am-4pm EST?).  Cash is recommended but card is certainly fine.

Typically the front door is unlocked, but there may not be anyone in the front office area.  You may have to announce your presence, or give them a call, depending on what the staff are working on.

Also, I would recommend carrying a mask with you.  I don't think it's required now, but it may be recommended given health issues and such of the staff.

My wife has our vaccine records locked up somewhere or in the jeep with her at work, do I still need that if I visit?  Mask is not a problem, but I don't want to drive all the way to Cincinnati today from Louisville and then be turned away.  Anyone?

Make a huge list of mechs you want, and possible secondary replacement units for it.   If you are wanting to kit bash  again make a list of those who have the parts you want.  IE  kit bashing a mech with jump wing. look up mechs that have it  Titian II wraith  spider  etc. The list should be the IWM number and name.  It's not hard to drop a couple hundred $$$ or more.   Plan on at least  3 hours of looking.
