Just starting reading the Jihad TRO
« on: 28 March 2020, 23:31:00 »
It was created by the Loremaster of the Star League Stephen Roshak 3250. :o

Did I miss a time jump? And a new Star League?

Any other stuff of 3250?

Nah, you haven't missed anything. There's a 3250-era intro in each of the new TRO volumes (Succession Wars and Clan Invasion) that drop some interesting hints for the future.

Second Succession War sourcebook is also framed from 3250 POV.

Most CGL books have a “future” perspective - they’re presented as a historical documents. This just happens to be the farthest forward

If 3250 ever becomes the present is yet to be seen

There was some minor talk about a jump to 3250 some years ago, but nothing substantial even came of it.

I kind of like the idea of 3250 as starting the next era to match with 3025. But I think ilClan should begin in 3150 and I don't think they would do 100 years in one leap. Especially when you consider the response to the initial mention of moving to 3250.

Because a portion of the fanbase objected so loudly that they abandoned the plan.  It also, I believe, contributed to Herb's exit as line developer.

Only stumbled upon that now and read it for myself (both new TROs). So the Falcons "won"?? Or this is some Falcon-Wolf-merger shenanigans? Any opinions?

In mine opinion it seems to be some merger.

Regardless who "wins" in 3150, a lot can happen between 3150 and 3250.

There are too many possibilities to explain Stephen Roshak. A 'merger' of Jade Falcon and Wolf could be possible, but there are already multiple explanations which are simpler:

1. The Jade Falcons are ilClan.
2.The Roshak bloodname was taken by the ilClan.
3. The warrior Stephen Roshak is abtakha to the ilClan.
4. There are multiple Clans involved in the new Star League and similar to the Clan Council, the Loremaster is not necessarily from any ruling Clan but chosen for their skills relating to parliamentary order (a la Kael Pershaw).

We could speculate (and I encourage it!), but Empyrus is right. Heaps of changes can occur. Even more importantly, the identity of the new Star League Loremaster is a relatively minor plot point and TPTB have years to craft the storyline. I'm sure they haven't settled on any reason yet (or can change their mind at any time!).

Wait, what?

I'm not sure that was the supplement you meant to reference.... Maybe Necromo Nightmare? We had AIs in that, I think.
