The Mercury has an article, it is just missing from the list:
https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=13477.msg315916#msg315916

The Mercury II has article as well though it does not relate to the KS. https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=3266.msg74411#msg74411

EDIT Looks like the Crab has an article as well, again missing from the main index:
https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=63503.msg1459849#msg1459849

There's really no Blackjack article?

Huh. That's not good. In the interests of the Kickstarter, I'll get one brewed up this week then.

I'd consider the Trebuchet but i've vague recollection someone had a longterm interest in it? Jymset?
EDIT Jymset indeed. Also has reserved the Blackjack long ago. Maybe someone can poke him about either one.

(Anyway, i gotta make Ti Ts'ang first, and try to get back to improving my old articles, all this while dealing with painting minis and other stuff...)

Yay, I got an article pinned, that means I'm Important!!!    ;)

And updated with the stuff people found and produced today.

Speaking of which - Jadehellbringer, did you seriously pound out the blackjack article in an hour and a half?

Edit - I can't update the list I put in KS thread #2, as the thread is locked. Mods, feel free to do it if you want.
edit2 - added the BB & AGOAC to the bottom.

I prefer to take a week or so and test out each version in several Megamek tests, get a really good feel for each one, and then type up the thoughts on each one as I go, assembling it all together at the end in a (poor) mashup of an article. But in the case of the Blackjack, I've been doing this for so long that there's not much need- whether on my side of the field or as a target, I know Blackjacks very, VERY well. There's variants I haven't tried (BJ-4 for example, or that ludicrous prototype with the flamers), but the ones you'll likely see on battlefields rather than the oddballs, those are no stranger to this old salt. So... open a Coke, open a couple of TROs and record sheet PDFs, let three decades of memories loose, and start typing. That it took 90 minutes honestly was more trying to shave down portions.

(For comparison, testing the Scapha hovertank for an old VotW? That was two weeks or so of working on testing each variant at least a couple of times, and the article STILL sucked. Screw that tank.)

OOOOOhhhhh.

I like this list.

Happily starts totaling up which units I will pick.

I must say, while there is nothing there that is "all new" to my collection, the fact that I can find units where I only own 1/2 of them, &/or only have 1-2 copies of the half I own is VERY nice for me.  :)

Added Urbie.

*Facepalm* Seriously? Urbanmech?

A well-used Urbanmech can be a pretty sobering opponent. It just requires thinking of it less as a Battlemech, and more as a self-propelled gun turret. You can't engage in running battles, but you can move a hefty autocannon around town to key locations on the cheap as a defensive measure. It's essentially a Hetzer on stilts- and as long as you use it as-such, a couple of Urbanmechs can make life hell on their opponent.

Yes, it has the cult following due to its speed and its looks (I admit to being a member of the Urbie Fan Club), but as an opponent it can be a terror- it just requires the right mindset... and a remarkably small hit to the wallet, of course.

My days of not taking Urbies seriously ended years ago, when a Griffin of mine had to choose between turning its back on an Urbanmech, or something far larger. Centurion, T-bolt, I forget exactly what.

One cored Griffin later, my days of forgetting that AC/20 Urbies are a thing had also come to an end...

It's just the meme - mightly urbie, the little mech who could. It gets taken too far.

They aren't harmless, but it's still silly the love they get. I'd rather a kurita-mod samurai Charger. Or an entirely new 3025 mech with 3050 variant. Or something other than "Kawaii".

Changed the nightstar link from the old 'tell me about' article to the new MOT? article.

Still don't like the Nightstar in the kickstarter. We've got the marauder, marauder II, and marauder IIC in different packs. It's hardly like we're going to have a hard time finding proxies, and there a a bunch of minis that need re-sculpts more.

The Nightstar could use an updated look, but yeah, I think the Gunslinger for one could have been a higher priority.

Any chance to do another update for the stretch goal packs?

Updated. Somebody please check my links, I was too lazy.

Also check for completeness, my attention to detail is pointed elsewhere.

Legendary Mechwarriors II
Marauder (w/2 dorsal guns)

Okay, has anyone seen a picture of this 'Mech, from one of the packs perhaps?  Does it have two different dorsal guns to choose one of, or does it come with two guns mounted like the Stone Rhino?

Pictures haven't been released to my knowledge, but the Marauder in the Legends iI and Legends III packs are coming with two dorsal guns that are detachable: you'll be able to choose which variant of the Marauder is represented based on which dorsal gun it's got.

A lot of the links are busted, and just unavailable unless you're on the forum. If it keeps up I might fix it, don't really want to slog through it right now.

Sorry.

As noted, its 2 different guns to customize.

I'm not sure what variants it represents but I'm assuming one is an AC of some type, and the other is a laser.

Though maybe its basic AC v/s RAC or Gauss weapon?

Not sure on the 2 choices just that there are 2 of them.
