Tacoma area game clan Bloodspirit vs Clan Star Adder
« on: 26 January 2015, 13:20:32 »
The Spirits landed on a planet that rivaled Mustifar for lava production and promptly fought on a lava field.
We were given no safecon, nor was Zelbrigen adhered to by our opponents. Our Dropships and jump ship were fired upon immediately by the Adders as we materialized in system.
It was by sheer will that we made it on planet and were treated like bandits with no offering of a trial of possession for the enclave.

We met on a field if encrusted magma that had some islands of safe passage. Smoke obscured much of the battlefield and we added more to it.

We met the hated Adders and let them come to us. Forcing them to cross on the only land bridge over the lava , through use of smoke we stopped their long range attacks.
As they had decreed that they were not holding to the tennents of Zelbrigen we focused our energies upon each mech as it came upon us.
We were using upgraded Star League era mechs, all that we could afford to send at the time.
They also used second line and old star league designs, for what nefarious purpose I can only surmise. Later we discovered that it was actually Burrocks piloting the mechs, and they must surely have been dark caste hold over.
The dezga worms piloted 2 mechs which all good sons of Kerensky loathe, wolverines.
As the disgraced mechs came across we felt it was our duty to destroy them and let their bines, and the bones of their pilots burn in the magma, so that they may never be seen again.
We lost one mech to a head shot, but we never relented. Our wall and tactics were strong, our pilots fierce.
We rebuffed our hated for at the crossing taking out 2 mechs before they retired from the field, about to lose 3 more.
The Spirits won the day. The enclave and it's secrets are ours.
After lift off from the planet their warship destroyed our Dropship and jump ship, assuring we would never bring back the tale of our victory.

May the names of the warriors who fought and died on that miserable planet be written down in the Rememberence and their deeds never forgotten.

Ouch, so a waste of good Blood Spirit warriors and equipment? Even killing the hated Burrocks or Adders isn't worth the loss of a jumpship, Dropship, or mechs.
I don't set an example for others. I make examples of them.

And that is all that matters.
