Errata on pg110, Alshain:

"Currently, ten slips for commercial vessel repair and manufacturing cover the equatorial orbit, while the three massive WarShip dockyards follow a geosynchronous orbit above the northern pole."

There's no such thing as a "geosynchronous orbit" over a pole. Geosynchronous orbits follow the planet's rotation in such a way that the ground appears stationary below the satellite. This can only be done at the equator. At space station sticking over a pole would not be in an orbit; it'd be stationary.

Further, an orbit over the north pole is going to cross over the southern pole.

Accordingly, I'd suggest: "Currently, ten slips for commercial vessel repair and manufacturing cover the equatorial orbit, while the three massive WarShip dockyards follow a polar orbit."

Further, if the Tseng facility is in orbit, then the following sentence should be modified: "The elaborate Tseng Facility complex, which produces fighters and small craft in abundance, spreads like an elaborate glass spider web over the southern pole."

to

The elaborate Tseng Facility complex, which produces fighters and small craft in abundance, spreads like an elaborate glass spider web that drifts around the planet in a polar orbit.

Page 97, left column, last paragraph, 2nd-last sentence:

Quote
Galatean City was destroyed, the Hiring Hall smashed, and millions were dead, wounded, wor ithout shelter.

Should be or without shelter

Page 135, right column, 2nd full paragraph, 2nd sentence:

Quote
...as the Third Lyran Guards had just left to help garrison worlds closer to the Falcon boarder.

Should be border, as a "boarder" is someone who is a guest in a boarding house.

Be the Loremaster:

Battletech transport rules take a very feline approach to moving troops in a combat zone: If they fits, they ships.

You bought the box set and are ready to expand your BT experience. Now what? (Thanks Sartis!)

Rank is incorrect. Should be Lieutenant-Colonel.

First PDF release, page 110:

"Once a District capital of the Draconis Combine—and previously a major Principality world in the Kingdom of Rasalhague— ..."

Issue: Alshain doesn't appear on maps prior to the Star League era. Øystein confirmed that Masters and Minions is in error, that Alshain was settled in the Star League era, and that there was no such thing as the Kingdom of Rasalhague.

Solution - remove the highlighted sentence fragment completely.

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

PDF, p. 72 - in the bio for Dalma Humphreys, she is said to have been born in "3011 (61 in 3076)".

Error: The numbers don't add up. Plus, her father Richard was born in 2998 according to Brush Wars. 3011 and even 3015 seems a bit early for him to have a child.
Correction: Establish/clarify her year of birth and adjust her age in 3076 if correct year of birth isn't 3015. Possible suggestions for the correct year are 3015 or 3019. The apocryphal German Andurien Wars novels describe Dalma as 10 years old in 3029, born to Richard Humphreys and Elala Cisne, who was slightly younger than Richard.

I have posted this in Ask the Writers (Dalma Humphreys - born in which year?) but the question has not been answered yet.

P. 239 - Tortuga Prime writeup. 2nd paragraph, 2nd sentence:

"The arrival of Fuchida's Fusiliers in 3042..."

should be

"The arrival of Fuchida's Fusiliers in 3054..."

(date of FF arrival confused with date of LDT's capture)

Page 72.

The love interest of Alys Rousset-Marik & father of Agatha Hampton-Marik is referred to as "Christopher Hampton".

Correction - The name ahould instead be "Christian Hampton" (i.e. per Field Manual: Updates Page 147, Field Manual: Free Worlds League Page 52, Jihad Hot Spots: 3072 Page 54 & the short story Families in Handbook: House Marik).

Errata posted at the suggestion of the Line Developer (https://bg.battletech.com/forums/ask-the-writers/christian-or-christopher-hampton/).

"Assassinating" the Clan commander's goldfish is hardly the stuff of legend.
