When changing engine rating either within an engine type (Class D Refit/Customization) or when changing engine type (Class F Refit/Customization), you may need to change gyro sizes. Gyro size is not addressed in the refit/customization rules beyond changing gyro type (Class F). For refits requiring a gyro weight change, how should the time be and difficulty be adjusted? I believe the gyro is the only piece where the name and crits are the same for different parts (aside from sensors and jump jets where they are tonnage based, so many fewer refits will run into the problem).

I see a few options (and you may see others, of course):
1. It is included in the base engine change work and does not contribute to time, difficulty, or class.
2. It adds to the base time as a gyro replacement without changing the class of the initiating engine refit, changing TNs and times accordingly. New base time for the engine change goes from 360 minutes to 560 and Class D/F x3/x5 multiplier. Also base TN increase by 1 from base engine mod of -1 to gyro mod of 0.
3. It pushes the refit/customization up to Class F and increases time.

If raising the engine rating pushes you over the top so that you need a larger gyro, that becomes a Class F change I'm afraid.
