Design Challenge - Battle Armor suit
« on: 01 October 2017, 17:12:25 »
Okay, here's a design challenge for anyone interested in accepting it. :)

Below is posted a picture of a battle armor suit. The challenge here is to examine it and, utilizing any tech base from any era, create a suit of battle armor based on the designated picture, making it as effective a suit of battle armor as possible.  ;)

Once done a poll will be posted allowing your peers here to decide who wins the challenge with their design. 8)

VTOL or partial wing or jump booster, a vibro claw, AP mount and armored gloves with infantry support weapon (instead of integrated)
Might be able to make something out of that.

I was originally going to go with a jumper with a partial wing, but those missiles hanging from the wings made me think bomb rack, so I went for a VTOL motive system. Though the result is a little undergunned and protected for my tastes (because of the vibro claws primarily), I think I'll have to use it for my "and I feel fine" setting.

Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 44.6 years. So if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.
