SO, p168: "WarShips, JumpShips, DropShips, and Space Stations can provide assistance to a similar unit to which it is physically docked."

How exact is "similar unit?"  Can a dropship lend technical support to a warship, for example?

"Similar unit" covers the listed types of unit - WarShips, JumpShips, DropShips, and Space Stations.

So yes, a DropShip can provide technical support to a WarShip, and a Space Station can provide technical support to a JumpShip.
